Abstract: Many playsets include one or more tower sections with one or more platform sections supported above the ground or a similar support surface with a support structure or framing. In certain embodiments, a curved wall portion defines one or more panel openings. Subpanels may optionally be mounted into the openings. A balcony floor protrudes outwards with a curved outer edge or face with an interior flat floor edge adjoining an edge of a polygonal platform section floor to enlarge the square footage of the floor area of the platform section.

Abstract: An adaptive load limiting seat belt retractor particularly adapted for motor vehicle applications. The retractor provides multiple levels of load limiting through the use of a pair of internal torsion bar elements. The torsion bar elements control the tension force on the seat belt webbing during an impact in a manner which provides desirable crash management characteristics. The retractor can be switched between high and low load limiting modes through activation of a pyrotechnic pretensioner. When the pyrotechnic pretensioner is not activated, the retractor provides a low load level characteristic. Pretensioner activation switches the retractor into a high load level operating condition. A high load limiting level is provided when the pretensioner is not activated if the spindle rotation exceeds a limited level in the low load limiting condition. A degressive load limiting feature may be provided to cause load limiting to begin at a higher level than the high load limiting level, and then step down the high load limiting level.

Abstract: Certain preferred embodiments of the present invention provide an improved light raising and lowering apparatus and method for a basketball goal. In some improved embodiments, an extension arm with a light attaches to an adjustment mechanism and further attaches pivotally to a basketball goal support structure, where the light moves upward when the adjustment mechanism pulls on the extension arm. As a preferred feature, the extension arm rotates to a raised position where the extension arm may be secured without requiring manual adjustments. As another preferred feature, the light raising and lowering apparatus may be attached to a previously assembled basketball goal.
