摘要： A blade-shaped armrest pivots along mutually orthogonal axis to provide compact storage adjacent the side of a seat and yet provide a wide support surface when moved to a lowered use position. In one embodiment, the armrest automatically rotates in two planes as it is moved between a stored position and the use position. In another embodiment of the invention, an armrest is pivotally mounted forwardly of a pivoted support member and both members rotated together from a generally vertical position to a horizontal position and the armrest is then rotated with respect to the support member to a horizontal position for use. A releasable latch holds the armrest in a selected position with respect to the support member.

The end walls of the preferred embodiment are made of a foldable material, such that they collapse integrally with the front and rear walls, while the dividers snap-fit into the base and interlock with the front and rear walls for use. 摘要： An adjustable armrest for a vehicle includes a molded shell and a blocking member, both rotatably mounted to a pivot pin that is attached to a vehicle such as to the seat. The shell houses a linearly operating control mechanism that allows the armrest to be adjusted to a variety of positions, yet remember an initially selected position. The blocking member has an abutment surface that is positioned to normally engage a stop pin that is fixedly mounted to the vehicle for limiting the range of rotational movement of the armrest. In the preferred embodiment, the control mechanism has a first end including an interlocking member adapted to normally interengage the blocking member, and a second end opposite the first end that may be actuated by the user to selectively release the interengagement between the blocking member and the interlocking member.

摘要： A container holder has a fixed arcuate housing and an arcuate arm which is pivotally mounted to the fixed housing. The pivoted arm includes a first spring to move the pivot arm from a stored position to a use position and a second spring urging the pivot arm toward the fixed housing. The pivot arm includes a tapered entry surface such that a container deflects the pivoted arm as it is adjustably held to move the pivoted arm to a desired diameter corresponding to that of the cylindrical diameter of the container inserted therein. In one embodiment, a pivoted bail extends beneath the aperture defined by the fixed housing and pivoted arm which lockably engages an end of the pivoted arm with a force determined by the weight of the container positioned on the supporting bail.

摘要： A container holder for a vehicle includes a flat panel section defining a marginal flange for engaging a mating structure on a vehicle component, such as an armrest or a floor console, and one or more cup-shaped members. The cup-shaped members include a floor and a resilient sidewall which can be resiliently flexed to move the floor between a lowered position and a raised position. In the lowered position, the cup-shaped member forms a shallow depression shaped to receive and stably support a first container. In the raised position, an aperture in the floor of the cup-shaped member receives a smaller diameter container such that the marginal material forming the aperture supports the sides of the container.

摘要： A cargo management and restraining apparatus for use in a cargo area of a vehicle, which is also removable from the vehicle and useable as a free standing support surface such as a table. The apparatus includes a base and a pair of pivotably mounted end walls. The base fits within a recess formed within a floor of a cargo area of a vehicle. Cargo may be placed on the base and the end walls help to keep the cargo from moving or shifting during use of the vehicle. The end walls may be folded down against the base when the apparatus is not needed so as not to interfere with the placement of large cargo items in the cargo area. The apparatus can be completely removed from the vehicle and used as a free standing support surface such as a table. A plurality of wheels are included in one preferred embodiment to enable the apparatus to be used as a cart to move cumbersome or heavy items such as a thermal cooler. Another preferred embodiment incorporates a removable planar-like partition which is supported by a pair of support arms above a floor of a cargo area. The support arms are pivotably attached to interior wall portions of the cargo area and positionable in generally horizontal, extended positions. The partition is slid inbetween the outermost ends of the support arms so as to be supported above the floor of the cargo area. In this manner the partition forms an auxiliary support shelf to increase the effective floor area of the cargo area.
