Abstract: A method of manufacturing an ophthalmic lens, including: a step of providing a starting optical system (30) having a first optical function and a first main refractive index; a step of providing a transition layer (20) intended to be disposed between the starting optical system (30) and a complementary optical element (12) having a second main refractive index, the transition layer (20) aiming at reducing unwanted reflection caused by the mismatch between the first and the second main refractive index, the transition layer (20) having a transition optical function; and a step of additively manufacturing the complementary optical element (12) on the transition layer (20), the complementary optical element (12) having a second optical function, the second optical function being predetermined as a function of the first optical function and of the transition optical function.

Abstract: A method for producing an ophthalmic lens, comprising an additive manufacturing step (100) for producing an intermediate optical element by depositing a plurality of elements of predefined volume of at least one material, said element comprising a target ophthalmic lens supplemented with at least one overthickness, and a flexible polishing manufacturing step (300) for producing said lens from said element by at least partially subtracting the overthickness so as to filter irregularities formed on said element during said additive manufacturing step; said additive manufacturing step comprising a step of defining a manufacturing setpoint for said element in which said overthickness is defined on the basis of predefined parameters of said flexible polishing step, i.e., a geometric characteristic representative of a spatial cutoff frequency and a geometric characteristic representative of a material removal capacity.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method implemented by computer for determining a lens blank intended to be used for the manufacturing of a finished optical article. The method includes: —a virtual volume data determining step, during which virtual volume data are determined based at least on finished optical article data representative of the volume of the finished optical article and over-thickness data representative of over-thickness requirements, the virtual volume data are determined so that the virtual volume defined by the virtual volume data includes the volume of the finished optical article volume of the finished optical article and the over-thickness, —a lens blank determining step, during which a lens blank is determined based on the virtual volume data so as to include the virtual volume defined by the virtual volume data.
