摘要: This document describes systems and method of embedded printing for additive manufacturing. A print material is printed into a support material. The print material and the support material each have a fluid phase and a solid phase. The print material transitions from the fluid phase to the solid phase based on a fluid-fluid interaction with the support material. One or more parameters of the support material can be adjusted to cause a diffusion rate of the print material into the support material during the fluid-fluid interaction to be less than a threshold value. Multiple print materials can be printed into the support material simultaneously.

摘要: A three-dimensional shaped article production method for producing a three-dimensional shaped article by stacking layers to form a stacked body includes a constituent layer formation step of forming a constituent layer which corresponds to a constituent region of the three-dimensional shaped article, a support layer formation step of forming a support layer which is in contact with the constituent layer and supports the constituent layer, and a sintering step of sintering the constituent layer, wherein the support layer is configured such that as compared with the volume decrement accompanying the sintering step of a space surrounded by the constituent layer from at least two directions, the volume decrement accompanying the sintering step of the support layer which supports the constituent layer in the space is larger.

摘要: The present disclosure generally relates to additive manufacturing systems and methods on a large-scale format. One aspect involves a build unit that can be moved around in three dimensions by a positioning system, building separate portions of a large object. The build unit has an energy directing device that directs, e.g., laser or e-beam irradiation onto a powder layer. In the case of laser irradiation, the build volume may have a gasflow device that provides laminar gas flow to a laminar flow zone above the layer of powder. This allows for efficient removal of the smoke, condensates, and other impurities produced by irradiating the powder (the “gas plume”) without excessively disturbing the powder layer. The build unit may also have a recoater that allows it to selectively deposit particular quantities of powder in specific locations over a work surface to build large, high quality, high precision objects.

The spreading and bonding are repeated until the golf club component is formed. The golf club component comprises a lattice structure positioned within an internal cavity of the golf club component and the lattice structure is interrupted by a solid portion that extends along a bottom side of the golf club component from a toe region of the golf club component to a location between the toe region and a heel region of the golf club component.

摘要: Methods for producing spatial objects are disclosed. The methods generally include printing a spatial object, in an amorphous phase, using a three-dimensional (3D) printer and a printing material that consists essentially of polyaryletherketones. The methods further entail placing the spatial object in a container and submerging the spatial object in a suitable charging material. Next, vibrations are applied to the container that includes the spatial object and charging material. The container, charging material, and spatial object are then heated until the spatial object transitions into a semi-crystalline phase (at which point the spatial object can be removed from the container and charging material).
