    Abstract: In a variable magnification viewfinder device, information displayed on a liquid crystal panel and a viewfinder image are combined with each other through a prism. When a variable power lens is inserted in a viewfinder optical path, viewfinder magnification is changed. Based on the change in the viewfinder magnification, brightness of a backlight unit is changed and luminance of the information displayed on the liquid crystal panel is changed. In a viewfinder field of view, the information and the viewfinder image are displayed at substantially the same brightness.

    Abstract: An illumination control unit selectively turns on strobe devices and a strobe light emitting unit. An image acquisition unit captures an image of an object through an imaging element and acquires individual illumination images. An individual irradiation area detection unit detects individual irradiation areas which are areas irradiated with each illumination light component in the imaging range of the imaging element on the basis of the individual illumination images. An irradiation area image generation unit generates an irradiation area image obtained by inserting division marks indicating each individual irradiation area into the image of the object. An irradiation area image output unit displays the irradiation area image on a rear display unit. The user observes the irradiation area image and can simply recognize each individual irradiation area.

    Abstract: An instruction reception apparatus includes: a charge accumulation unit that includes a first capacitor in which a pair of electrodes are disposed to face each other under an instruction reception surface, a resistor that is disposed to correspond to the pair of electrodes under the instruction reception surface and has a resistance value between the pair of electrodes that is changed as the instruction reception surface is pressed, and a second capacitor that is connected to the first capacitor; a measurement unit that measures a physical quantity corresponding to the amount of electric charges of the second capacitor; and an output unit that selectively outputs a contact state signal indicating a contact state, a non-contact state signal indicating a non-contact state, and a pressing state signal indicating a pressing state where the indicator presses against the instruction reception surface, in accordance with the physical quantity measured.
