Abstract: Provided is an optically anisotropic film exhibiting excellent reverse wavelength dispersibility, a laminate, a circularly polarizing plate, and a display device. The optically anisotropic film includes a J-aggregate having an absorption peak of a J-band on a wavelength side longer than a wavelength of 700 nm, in which an absorption at a wavelength of 700 to 900 nm in a fast axis direction of the optically anisotropic film is larger than an absorption at a wavelength of 700 to 900 nm in a slow axis direction of the optically anisotropic film.

Abstract: Provided are an optical element including a first optically-anisotropic layer consisting of a cured layer of a composition including a first liquid crystal compound, in which the first optically-anisotropic layer has 0.24 or more of a refractive index anisotropy Δn550 which is measured with light having a wavelength of 550 nm, the first optically-anisotropic layer has a first liquid crystal alignment pattern in which a direction of an optical axis derived from the first liquid crystal compound continuously changes rotationally in at least one in-plane direction, and in the first liquid crystal alignment pattern, in a case where a length Λ over which the direction of the optical axis rotates 180° in a plane is defined as a single period, the length Λ of the single period is 1.6 μm or less; a method for forming a photo-alignment pattern; and a method for manufacturing an optical element.

Abstract: Provided are: a color filter for an image sensor in which an infrared filter having no particulate defects or the like can be laminated adjacent to an image pickup element and in which the total thickness of an image sensor can be significantly reduced; an image sensor including the color filter for an image sensor; and a method of manufacturing the color filter for an image sensor. The color filter for an image sensor includes: two or more absorbing color filters that absorb light components having different wavelength ranges; and a cholesteric reflecting layer in which a right circularly polarized light cholesteric layer having right circularly polarized light reflecting properties and a left circularly polarized light cholesteric layer having left circularly polarized light reflecting properties are laminated.
