Abstract: A ferrule includes: a ferrule body including a first body-side guide hole into which a first guide pin is inserted, a second body-side guide hole into which a second guide pin is inserted, and an optical fiber holder that holds an optical fiber; and a lens plate including a first plate-side guide hole into which the first guide pin is inserted, a second plate-side guide hole into which the second guide pin is inserted, a lens part, and an abutment surface that an end face of the optical fiber abuts. The first guide pin fits the first body-side guide hole and the first plate-side guide hole. The second guide pin fits one of the second body-side guide hole or the second plate-side guide hole.

Abstract: A ferrule that holds an end part of an optical fiber includes a fiber hole into which the optical fiber is inserted and an upper wall part and a lower wall part that define a hollow adhesive filling part, where the lower wall part faces the upper wall part. The adhesive filling part is filled with an adhesive applied between the optical fiber inserted in the fiber hole and an inner wall surface of the adhesive filling part. The upper wall part has an upper opening through which the adhesive passes into the adhesive filling part, and the lower wall part has a lower opening that ventilates the adhesive filling part to outside of the ferrule.

Abstract: A connector system includes: a first ferrule configured to hold end parts of multi-core fibers; a second ferrule configured to hold end parts of single-core fibers; and an optical connection member. The optical connection member is arranged between the first and the second ferrule, and includes an optical system configured to optically connect respective cores included in the multi-core fibers and the single-core fibers. A guide pin is formed on one of the first and the second ferrule, and a guide hole is formed in another of the first and the second ferrule. A through hole is formed in the optical connection member, and the first ferrule, the optical connection member, and the second ferrule can be aligned by fitting the guide pin in the guide hole through the through hole.

Abstract: A boot configured to be attached to a ferrule includes: a fiber insertion hole into which optical fibers are inserted; a lower part on one side with respect to the fiber insertion hole; and an upper part on another side with respect to the fiber insertion hole.
