Abstract:
A device for feeding blanks to a user machine, whereby the end blank of a stack of blanks housed inside a feedbox is detached from the adjacent blanks in the stack by a separating roller, which feeds the blank, transversely in relation to the axis of the stack, to a withdrawal station where it is engaged by the periphery of a rotary suction member for withdrawing and feeding the blank to a user station.
Abstract:
A method of replacing a first strip with a second strip on a manufacturing machine featuring an input traction device for feeding the first strip along a route defined by a first and second portion at a given angle in relation to each other; according to which method, a lead portion of the second strip is positioned along the first route portion so as to project beyond the junction between the first and second route portions, and is accelerated up to the speed of the first strip., the first strip is then cut upstream from the first route portion and the second strip is cut by a device operating in a direction coincident with that of the second route portion, so as to simultaneously cut the second strip and feed the end so formed into the traction device.
Abstract:
Products transported on a conveyor at substantially constant speed inside respective seats integral with the conveyor are fed through a passage located in a fixed position facing the path of the seats; the products being fed into the passage by means of an auxiliary seat located between the conveyor and the passage and designed to move along the path of and at the same speed as the conveyor and in selective alignment with each seat, and to stop in a position wherein it is aligned with the passage; and by means of a pusher constantly aligned with, and located on the opposite side of the conveyor in relation to, the auxiliary seat.
Abstract:
Pouches (2) of a smokeless tobacco product are manufactured on a machine comprising an intermittently rotatable dispensing disc (3) with peripheral cavities (4), a station (5) at which each cavity (4) is filled with a given quantity of tobacco equivalent to a single portion, a push rod mechanism (12) by which the portions of tobacco are ejected from each cavity (4) of the disc (3) at a transfer station (6), and a connecting duct (8) through which the portion of tobacco ejected by the push rod from each cavity passes directly to a wrapping station (7) where the pouches (2) are formed, filled with the tobacco product and sealed.
Abstract:
Containers (2) for food products are manufactured employing a system that includes a feed station (4) supplying a succession of tubular elements (2a), and a heat sealer (10) positioned to close and secure a first open end (2b) of each tubular element (2a) that coincides with the base of the container. The sealing operation occurs at a station associated with a conveyor (3) consisting in a wheel (11) rotatable in a feed direction (B) along a path (P) passing both through the feed station (4) and through the station occupied by the heat sealer (10). The tubular elements (2a) are carried by radial elements (13) of the wheel (11) such as can be indexed between a first operating position, where the tubular elements (2a) are taken up from the feed station (4), and a second operating position in which the open end (2b) is offered to the heat sealer (10).
Abstract:
A rotary unit, of an FFS (Form, Fill and Seal) machine, for ultrasound sealing a continuous tubular strip housing an orderly succession of products and fed along a feed path extending through a sealing station; the rotary unit having two substantially identical rotors located on opposite sides of the feed path, and which rotate in opposite directions about respective axes, and have respective pitch surfaces tangent to each other and to the feed path; and an ultrasound sealing head, forming part of one of the two rotors, cooperates at the sealing station with a corresponding anvil forming part of the other rotor, to close the tubular strip along a transverse seal line located at a respective portion of the tubular strip extending between two respective adjacent products.
Abstract:
Products (6) are fed in an ordered succession by a unit (100) comprising a conveyor unit (1) equipped with pockets (43, 53), an outfeed conveyor (3) on which products (6) advance in succession at a given pitch (p2), also a transfer unit (2) operating between the conveyor unit (1) and the outfeed conveyor (3). The conveyor unit (1) presents a first belt (4) and a second belt (5) placed one beside the other and equipped with independent motors (M1, M2), whilst the pockets (43, 53) are arranged in first and second groups, each comprising a given number (n) of pockets ordered at constant pitch (p1) and associated respectively with the first belt (4) and the second belt (5), so that the groups are alternated one with another along a predetermined path (P). The transfer unit (2) includes an elevating platform (19) by which products (6) are ejected from the pockets (43, 53) and transferred at regular intervals to the outfeed conveyor (3), and the motors of the first and second belts (4, 5) are interlocked to a control unit (90) such as will ensure that the passage of each pocket is timed to coincide with an ejection stroke of the elevating platform (19).
Abstract:
The outfeed unit of a cigarette maker establishes a feed path along which at least one cigarette rod is caused to advance in a predetermined direction from the outfeed end of a beam, on which the rod is formed, toward a cutter device by which the rod is divided into sticks constituting single cigarettes; the unit is equipped with a cut-off device located in close proximity to the outfeed of the forming beam, by which the rod is severed and diverted from the feed path, and, at a given point downstream of the cut-off device, with pinch rollers by which a portion of the rod separated through the action of the cut-off device is removed from a final stretch of the feed path between the cut-off device and the cutter device.
