    摘要: A method of detecting an edge of a magnetic tape, using a magnetic head device with a magnetic head capable of reading after writing and having a read gap and a write gap, and a switch for selectively electrically connecting the write gap to a write circuit and a read circuit. The steps of the method are: running the tape while moving the magnetic head from a predetermined initial position in the widthwise of the tape until the magnetic head reaches the edge of the tape to record a signal on the tape; subsequently rewinding the tape to the predetermined initial position to return the magnetic head to a position of the tape where the signal has been recorded; subsequently, under the condition of electrically connecting the write gap to the read circuit to cause the write gap to serve as a read gap, running the tape while causing the magnetic head to follow the signal recorded on the tape to read the signal; and subsequently comparing the read signal with a reference value to detect the edge of the tape.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for manufacturing double-gear trains in which gears of double-gear trains are molded already in engagement with one another. Upper and lower gear molding cavities are formed in upper and lower molds between which is sandwiched an intermediate mold. Apertures are formed in the intermediate mold for molding shafts which join gear pairs. Thin wall dividing portions are provided between adjacent gears which are molded in engagement with one another. A molten resin introducing cavity is formed between an outer mold and the upper mold. Coupling pieces may also be molded simultaneously with the formation of the double-gear train.

    摘要: The fixed torque spring clutch of the present invention has a first rotor and a second rotor. The rotation of one rotor can be transmitted to the other rotor by a coil spring. The first rotor has a shaft section, the coil spring has a clamping section winding round the shaft section, and a non-clamping section arranged in spaced circumferential relation with the outer face of the shaft section. The second rotor has a holding piece and releasing piece arranged in spaced circumferential relation thereon. The holding piece engages the non-clamping section of the coil spring to increase the torque it applies to the shaft section. The releasing piece then engages the clamping section of the coil spring to decrease the torque it applies to the shaft section. The cooperating action of the holding piece and releasing piece on, respectively, the non-clamping and clamping sections of the coil spring results in maintenance of a prescribed fixed torque on the shaft section. The first rotor constitutes a driving member and the second rotor a load, or vice versa. The fixed torque spring clutch can be utilized in a winder such as a tape recorder winder.

    摘要: A fluid rotary machine with a decreased footprint and a reduction in the number of parts. The fluid rotary machine has four heads wherein double-headed pistons are disposed inside cylinders in a crisscross arrangement. The rotational balance between rotational parts including the double-headed pistons is achieved only by first and second balance weights which are inserted and incorporated into both ends of a crank shaft coupled eccentrically to a shaft. The shaft is rotated for the double-headed pistons to linearly reciprocate in the cylinders. The fluid rotary machine has rotary valves for switching between the suction and discharge operations of the fluid for each cylinder chamber. The rotary valves are incorporated into a case to be coaxial and integrally rotatable with the shaft.
