Abstract: A contactless power transfer system is provided. The contactless power transfer system includes a first power exchanger coil configured to exchange power. The contactless power transfer system also includes a first power converter operatively coupled to the first power exchanger coil and configured to convert a direct current power to an alternating current power at a system frequency. The contactless power transfer system further includes a controller configured to control an operating state of the first power converter to vary an alternating current power provided to the first power exchanger coil at the system frequency.

Abstract: A wireless charging device includes a power source configured to generate a direct current (DC) voltage signal. Also, the wireless charging device includes a driver unit configured to receive the DC voltage signal and convert the DC voltage signal to a first alternating current (AC) voltage signal. Further, the wireless charging device includes a transmitting unit including a resonant capacitor and a resonant coil, coupled to the driver unit, wherein the transmitting unit is configured to receive and transmit the first AC voltage signal. Additionally, the wireless charging device includes a control unit configured to detect a receiver device based on a change in at least one of a capacitive voltage across the resonant capacitor and an inductive voltage across the resonant coil if the receiver device is positioned within a predetermined distance from the transmitting unit.

Further, the wireless charging device includes a driver unit coupled to the control unit and configured to convert a direct current (DC) voltage signal of an input power to a second AC voltage signal if the receiver device is detected. In addition, the wireless charging device includes a power transmission coil configured to wirelessly transmit the second AC voltage signal to the receiver device.
