Abstract:
A system and method for generating a reputation score is disclosed. A processing unit processes user activity data from data sources to identify user interactions associated with a user. A categorizing engine categorizes the user interactions into categories. A social bonus engine determines a social bonus score based on social affinity data. A scoring engine computes a first reputation score for the user by combining scores for the categorized user interactions with a social bonus score. A learning engine receives a second set of user interactions and training data and generates a learning result that is used to update the first reputation score.
Abstract:
A method and/or system for managing media library merchandising promotions may include determining one or more current promotions from a plurality of promotions. A universal score may be assigned to each of the one or more current promotions, wherein the universal score is updated dynamically based on interactions with the one or more current promotions by one or more users. A personal score for each of the one or more current promotions may be assigned for a particular user, wherein the personal score is updated dynamically based on interactions with the one or more current promotions by the particular user. Personalized digital content promotions may be determined for the particular user from the current promotions based on the personal score and/or the universal score. The personalized promotions may be presented to the particular user.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer program products, for organizing music tracks based on shared metadata. In one aspect, a method includes identifying a set of common music tracks associated with a first user and a second user, wherein the set of common music tracks includes at least one music track present in both a first set of music tracks associated with the first user and a second set of music tracks associated with the second user. Metadata associated with at least one music track in the set of common music tracks is retrieved, the metadata being specific to the second user. A set of user music tracks associated with the first user is organized based on the retrieved metadata.
Abstract:
A method, which is executed by a processor, includes receiving a request to access music from a user account. The music is to be streamed to a device from which the user account has generated the request. The method further includes streaming music to the device for rendering, and automatically inserting descriptive voice-audio data into the stream for rendering. The descriptive voice-audio data includes information regarding the music, for example, the artist name and song title.
Abstract:
A method for automatically undoing an action in a music player application is provided. A method includes storing a first state in a media application. The first state may include at least one of: a list of one or more media items listed in a first order, and a first time position in a first media item of the one or more media items. An action changing the first state to a second state may be received. Next, a request to undo the action changing the first state to the second state may be received, and the first state may be restored based on the stored first state. The method may also include presenting a list of one or more prior actions and each prior action may change the media application to a corresponding state different from a preceding state.
Abstract:
A system, computer program product and method for dynamically digesting one or more user notifications based at least in part on one or more rules are disclosed. In some implementations, the system includes a notification receiver module, a rule application module and a notification digestion module. The notification receiver module receives notifications including a first notification. The rule application module obtains rules for determining a send condition including a delay time and a maximum delay time, sets the delay time and the max delay time, determines whether another notification is received within the delay time, resets the delay time responsive to another notification being received within the delay time, and repeats the determination and delay time reset until a send condition occurs. The notification digestion module, responsive to the send condition occurring, digests the notification(s) received prior to the send condition and sends a digested notification to the user.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and media for providing media guidance are provided. In some implementations, a method for providing media guidance is provided, the method comprising: receiving device data from a mobile device associated with a display device; identifying a media content item being presented on the display device; determining a first indication that the mobile device has been interacted with during the presentation of the media content item; storing a first timestamp corresponding to the first indication; determining a second indication that the interaction with the mobile device has ceased; storing a second timestamp corresponding to the second indication; receiving an indication that the media content item is to be played back; determining, using a hardware processor, a first playback position in the media content item based on the first timestamp; and causing the media content item to be presented from the determined first playback position in response to receiving the indication.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of the disclosed subject matter provide predicting, by an electronic device, a future event at which media is to be played, predicting, by the electronic device according to data stored in a storage device, whether a communications network connection will be available at one or more locations of the predicted future event, generating, by the electronic device, a playlist of a plurality of media according to the predicted future event; and when it is predicted that the communications network connection will be unavailable or intermittent at the one or more locations, downloading, by the electronic device from a server while the communications network connection is available, at least one of the plurality of media from the generated playlist and storing the downloaded media on the storage device of the electronic device.
Abstract:
Systems and methods to capture, in a first device, a sample of audio data streaming from a server, transmit the sample to the server, and receive, in the first device, access to a secure service provided by the server when the server verifies that the first device is at a location of the audio based on the sample.
