    Abstract: An image capture system includes an image capture device and an integrated sensor-optical component accessory. The integrated sensor-optical component accessory is releasably connectable to the image capture device and includes identification data. A processor in the image capture device configures itself and the image capture device based on the identification data. Image data from the integrated sensor-optical component accessory is processed and image data from the image capture data is either processed or ignored depending on the configuration. In an implementation, attachment information may also be used for configuration. In an implementation, multiple integrated sensor-optical component accessories may be connected to the image capture device. In an implementation, the center axis of the fields of view of the image capture device and the integrated sensor-optical component accessory may be in different directions or the same direction, and the fields of view may be overlapping or non-overlapping.

    Abstract: Audio content may be captured during capture of spherical video content. An audio event within the audio content may indicate an occurrence of a highlight event based on sound(s) originating from audio source(s) captured within an audio event extent within the spherical video content at an audio event moment. Temporal type of the audio event providing guidance with respect to relative temporality of the highlight event with respect to the audio event and spatial type of the audio event providing guidance with respect to relative spatiality of the highlight event with respect to the audio event may be determined. A highlight event moment of the highlight event may be identified based on the audio event moment and temporal type of the audio event. A highlight event extent of the highlight event may be identified based on the audio event extent and the spatial type of the audio event.

    Abstract: In one aspect of the present disclosure, a digital image capturing device (DICD) is described that includes a first integrated sensor-lens assembly (ISLA) defining a first optical axis and facing in a first direction; a second ISLA defining a second optical axis offset from the first optical axis and facing in a second direction generally opposite the first direction (i.e., such that the second ISLA is rotated approximately 180 from the first ISLA); and a bridge member that is positioned between the first and second ISLAs to fixedly secure together the first and second ISLAs. The bridge member is configured as a discrete structure (i.e., as being separate from both the first ISLA and the second ISLA), and defines a longitudinal axis that is generally parallel in relation to the first and second optical axes.

    Abstract: An image capture system includes an image capture device and an integrated sensor-optical component accessory. The integrated sensor-optical component accessory includes at least one of a microphone, a processor, a motion sensor, or an audio sensor. The image capture device configured to control operation of the integrated sensor-optical component accessory with the image capture device when the integrated sensor-optical component accessory is releasably attached to the image capturing device. The image capture device may include a user interface configurable for operation with the integrated sensor-optical component accessory and the image capture device. The integrated sensor-optical component accessory may draw power from the image capture device. The integrated sensor-optical component accessory may include a power supply. The image capture system may include another integrated sensor-optical component accessory including at least one of a microphone, a processor, a motion sensor, or an audio sensor which is controllable by the image capture device.
