    摘要: A dryer monitor detects when textiles in a dryer are dry, detects when textiles in a dryer are overdry, and/or may count dryer cycles. The dryer monitor includes a humidity sensor, a temperature sensor, a controller and various status indicators. The humidity and temperature sensors may be located outside the drying compartment of the dryer. In the case of a clothes dryer, the humidity and temperature sensors may be located outside the drum of the dryer and may be located, for example, in the exhaust compartment of the dryer. The dryer monitor determines dryness of items in the dryer, and may also determine whether the items are overdry, based on humidity information received from the humidity sensor. The dryer monitor counts dryer cycles based on temperature information received from the temperature sensor.

    摘要: Enhanced cleaning can be obtained by applying primarily to a stained region of a washable soft substrate a prespotting composition that contains at least one molybdate and which can generate singlet oxygen in situ in the presence of a peroxide, optionally applying to the substrate a prespotting composition that contains at least one peroxide, and rinsing, laundering or otherwise cleaning the substrate, using a peroxygen-containing built detergent to clean the substrate if a prespotting composition containing peroxide has not been applied to the substrate. Preferred embodiments of the method can provide stain removal comparable to that obtained using chlorine bleach but with better color safety. The method preferably is performed using a prespotting kit containing a molybdate solution, a peroxide solution and instructions for applying the solutions primarily to a stained region of a washable soft substrate, thereby providing a treated article whose stained region has preferentially absorbed thereon an aqueous singlet oxygen-generating mixture comprising peroxide and molybdate.

    摘要: The present invention provides compositions and methods to reduce smoking and/or haze during a heated laundry process. The compositions include a smoke reducing surfactant package and a detersive surfactant containing an amount of free alcohol. The smoke reducing surfactant package includes an anionic surfactant, an amphoteric surfactant or mixtures thereof. The surfactants are selected such that the amount of smoke or haze produced is reduced and or eliminated when garments contacted with the compositions containing the surfactants are heated to at least about 250° F. Methods of using the compositions are also provided.

    摘要: A fragrance dispenser is provided according to the invention. A fragrance dispenser is provided for use in a dryer for dispensing a fragrance onto fabric or laundry dried in the dryer. The fragrance dispenser includes a mixture of a carrier component and a fragrance component so that the fragrance dispenser is provided in a solid form. The carrier component and the fragrance component are selected so that, when the fragrance dispenser is placed in a dryer and contacts fabric being dried during a drying cycle at a temperature of up to about 170° F., the carrier component does not flow onto the fabric and the fragrance component dispenses in an amount sufficient to impart a residual fragrance to the fabric. A method for dispensing fragrance onto fabric in a dryer is provided.
