Abstract: In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a fuel seal for an aircraft fuel system includes a seal ring of a metallic material configured to retain a shape of the seal ring under compression, and a coating of elastomeric material, over molded onto the seal ring and configured to conform to a shape of a sealing surface. In embodiments, the seal ring and coating can be configured to provide drop-tight sealing at a temperature of at least 400 degrees F. In certain embodiments, the seal ring and coating can be configured to seal one or more fuel system components of an aircraft fuel system.

According to the method, a curable sealant is applied to a metal surface of a first article, and the curable sealant and first article are stored under conditions to maintain the curable sealant in an at least partially uncured state. The method further includes contacting the curable sealant on the first article metal surface with an electrically conductive surface of a second article, and curing the curable sealant.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a high temperature heat exchanger that includes providing a heat exchanger made of at least one of nickel and a nickel metal alloy, applying a silicone aluminum coating to the heat exchanger, drying the silicone aluminum coating at a first temperature for a first time period, and curing the silicone aluminum coating at a second temperature for a second time period, such that a ceramic coating is formed.
