Abstract: A hybrid bonded-fastened (HBF) joint 100 is described. The hybrid bonded-fastened (HBF) joint comprises: a first component 110 having a first joint surface 111, wherein the first component 110 is a composite component; a second component 120 having a second joint surface 121, wherein the second component 121 is a metallic component; a set of projections 130, including a first projection 130A, mutually interlocking the first component 110 and the second component 120 via the first joint surface 111 and the second joint surface 121; and an adhesive 140 mutually adhesively bonding the first component 110 and the second component 120 via the first joint surface 111 and the second joint surface 121; wherein the adhesive 140 comprises and/or is a disbondable adhesive.

Abstract: A floor may include a substrate having a top side and a bottom side. A top layer may be provided on the substrate. The top layer may consist of a printed thermoplastic film and a thermoplastic transparent or translucent layer provided on the printed thermoplastic film. The top layer may be directly adhered to the substrate by heat welding the printed thermoplastic film and the top side of the substrate, in the absence of a glue layer. The substrate may be a synthetic material board including a filler. The substrate at least at two opposite edges may include coupling means provided in the synthetic material board. The thermoplastic transparent or translucent layer may be provided with a structure.

Abstract: Disclosed are grips and methods of making grips for use with the handle of an article, and in particular for use with fishing poles and golf clubs. Grips preferably include a multi-layered gripping member and an inner sleeve or mounting body. The gripping member can include an outer layer with a fabric layer coated and preferably saturated by polyurethane. The outer layer can be bonded to an inner layer to form the gripping member which is then attached to the sleeve. The sleeve can be ground from a starting block of material or may be injection molded. Also disclosed are handles including a connector configured to couple to a portion of a fishing pole. Such handles may include a multiple layers and can be selectively removed from the article. Methods are also provided for selectively coupling exchangeable handles to articles including fishing poles.

Abstract: A fastener tape, a slide fastener, a skin product, and a method of forming the fastener tape are provided. The method includes forming fabric tapes made from high-melting warp yarns and weft yarns. The fabric tapes each include an outer connecting portion and an inner connecting portion. Fastener teeth are sewn to an outer side of the inner connecting portion through a sewing thread. The inner connecting portion includes an teeth sewing region. A low-melting component is provided in at least the teeth sewing region, and the low-melting component thermally welds the high-melting sewing thread, warp yarns, and weft yarns to form a hardened structure. The method further includes heating, after the fastener teeth are sewn to the fabric tapes, the fabric tapes for bending and shaping, such that the low-melting component thermally welds the sewing thread, the warp yarns, and the weft yarns.

Abstract: A system and method for assembling a plurality of components into an assembly is provided. The system includes an assembling robot and an adhesive dispensing robot. The assembling robot is configured to attach a first sub-assembly to a second sub-assembly. The first sub-assembly includes at least one of the plurality of components, and the second sub-assembly includes remaining ones of the plurality of components. The adhesive dispensing robot is configured to apply an adhesive between the first sub-assembly and the second sub-assembly, after the first sub-assembly is attached to the second sub-assembly, to bond the first sub-assembly to the second sub-assembly.
