Abstract: Systems and techniques are described that are directed to intelligent scheduling of Wi-Fi services for applications, including enhanced dynamic prioritization. A device, such as an access point (AP), can receive data packets from multiple connected devices to dynamically identify an application flow for each data packet, and dynamically identify a user associated with the application flow for each data packet. The AP can generate prioritized candidate lists for selected data packets in queues corresponding to an access category (AC). In response to determining that the identified user associated with the application flow corresponds with a critical user, the AP can select data packets for the prioritized candidate lists based at least in part on priority policies for each of a plurality of applications and based at least in part on dynamic prioritization of applications for each of a plurality of applications; and schedule data packets from the prioritized candidate lists.

Abstract: Currently, spatial reuse (SR) is a feature used indiscriminately for/across all traffic classes. However, systems and methods are provided for increasing the reliability of voice traffic and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) Acknowledgement (ACK) messaging. The result is improved quality of voice calls, and enhanced network capacity. When the length of a data section of a packet suggests that subsequent packets are associated with voice traffic or TCP ACKs, such packets are not transmitted when another transmission(s) is occurring under spatial reuse. When a determination is made that the length of a data section of the packet suggests non-voice traffic or TCP ACKs, they can be transmitted simultaneously with other transmissions occurring under spatial reuse.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for prioritizing channel access to uplink (UL) multi-user (MU) data capable active stations (STAs) by dynamically adapting a MU enhanced distributed channel access (EDCA) parameter set to provide for increased access to the channel by the UL MU data capable active STAs when the total number of active STAs associated to the AP less the number of active UL MU capable STAs exceeds the number of active UL MU data capable STAs; and by dynamically adapting the MU EDCA parameter set to equal a legacy EDCA parameter set to reduce collisions between the UL MU data capable STAs when the number of active UL MU data capable STAs exceeds or equals the total number of active STAs associated to the AP less the number of active UL MU data capable STAs.

Abstract: Currently, spatial reuse (SR) is a feature used indiscriminately for/across all traffic classes. However, systems and methods are provided for reducing channel access latency via selective application of SR for latency-sensitive and high-priority traffic. If a radio frequency (RF) signal is detected on a channel used by an access point (AP) or a client device, a determination can be made as to whether the energy of the RF signal relative to SR energy level thresholds permits transmission on that channel used simultaneously by another, e.g., neighboring AP. If so, frames can be transmitted so long as the other neighboring AP is associated with a different basic service set (BSS) color than that of the AP, and so long as the frames to be transmitted belong to a high-priority/low-latency traffic access category.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are described that are directed to filter frequency response shift compensation, including attenuation compensation. Attenuation compensation can apply a pre-distortion to compensate for the magnitude of attenuated resource units (RUs). Additionally, filter frequency response shift can involve applying PHY Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) scheduling schemes. For example, a PPDU scheduling scheme can reduce bandwidth in the channel, thereby dropping the affected RUs. The attenuation compensation is implemented using front ends that provide feedback to a respective radio, which allows that radio to apply the appropriate pre-distortion. The front end can include one or more filters enabling frequency domain coexistence between collocated radios operating in the differing Wi-Fi bands, and a coupler that provides the feedback indicating the frequency response shift to a radio. The radio then applying a digital pre-distortion to a signal input into the one or more filters to compensate for the attenuated RUs.
