The obtained dyeings have shades that range from blue and green to deep black and exhibit good fastness to light, wet treatments and sweat. The dyes build-up particularly well on nylon at neutral pH conditions and have good affinity for leather.
Abstract:
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## homogeneous and heterogeneous metal complexes thereof, and mixtures of said compounds and complexes, whereineach A is independently hydroxy or amino,T is carboxy or sulpho,T.sub.1 is hydrogen, nitro, halo, alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkoxy, substituted alkoxy or sulpho,T.sub.2 is hydrogen, nitro, halo, alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkoxy or substituted alkoxy,X is hydrogen, hydroxy, halo, nitro, alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkoxy, substituted alkoxy or sulpho, andY is hydrogen, hydroxy, halo, nitro, alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkoxy, substituted alkoxy or ##STR2## wherein with the proviso that Y is-- ##STR3## when X is other than sulpho, Z is hydrogen, carboxy or a sulpho,Z.sub.1 is hydrogen, hydroxy, nitro, alkyl, substituted alkyl, alkoxy, or substituted alkoxy, andZ.sub.2 is hydrogen or nitro. These dyes are useful for dyeing leather. The dyes display excellent levelling properties, build up well, are soluble in water and are resistant to migration in polyvinyl chloride and crude rubber. The dyeings exhibit good fastness to buffing, light, wet treatments and pressing.
Abstract:
Complexes of the formula ##STR1## in which each of X.sub.1 and X.sub.2, independently, is --COO-- or --O--,each of B.sub.1 and B.sub.2, independently, is the radical of a coupling component of the benzene series containing up to two non-condensed benzene rings or a radical of a coupling component of the quinoline series, which coupling component radicals are free from acid groups, each of ##STR2## independently, is the radical of a diazo component of the benzene series in which the rings A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 shown are free from acid groups bound directly thereto, each of the floating sulpho groups on the naphthalene rings, independently, is in the 3- or 4-position, which complexes are free from fibre reactive groups and are in free acid or salt form, and mixtures of such complexes are useful as anionic dyestuffs for substrates comprising or consisting of, for example, natural or regenerated cellulose, natural or synthetic polyamides, leather, polyurethanes or polymers modified to contain basic groups.
Abstract:
Metal complex polyazo dyes having, as a coupling component radical, the radical of a coupling component K, being the product of the condensation, under acidic conditions, of the formaldehyde with a compound or mixture of compounds of formula (a), ##STR1## AND/OR A COMPOUND OR MIXTURE OF COMPOUNDS OF FORMULA (B), ##STR2## WHEREIN EACH R.sub.1 , R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 is independently is hydrogen, halogen, hydroxy or optionally substituted alkyl or alkoxy, andM is hydrogen or a non-chromophoric cation,The mol ratio of formaldehyde to the other compound(s) (a) and/or (b) being at least 0.6:1 and at least 50 mol % of the other compound(s) (a) and/or (b) containing a --COOM group, and, as diazo or bisdiazo component radical, a radical D- or -D- where D contains at least one metallized azo group, their production and their use for the dyeing of anionic dyeable substrates, particularly leather. The dyes have good levelling capacity and the obtained dyeings possess notable fastness to light.
Abstract:
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## in which X signifies hydrogen, halogen or --SO.sub.3 M,M signifies hydrogen or a non-chromophoric cation, andK.sub.1 and K.sub.2, which are the same or different, each signifies a coupling component which has at least one free amino, enolic hydroxy or phenolic hydroxy group,And mixtures thereof, are useful as anionic dyes for natural and regenerated cellulose, natural and synthetic polyamides, polyurethanes, basically modified polyolefins, paper and, particularly, leather. The dyes are well-soluble in water, resistant to acid, have relatively low substantivity on leather, produce level dyeings and have no hardening effect on chrome-tanned leather and exhibit good fastness to light and wet treatments on paper. Also disclosed are compounds of the formula ##STR2## wherein M and X are as defined above, which are useful as intermediates.
