    摘要： Disclosed is a trisazo dye represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently represent a substituted amino group which is substituted with hydrogen, a hydroxyl group, a carboxyl group, an amino group, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a hydroxyalkyl group or an acyl group, or an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or an alkoxy group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and R.sup.3 is hydrogen, an alkyl or alkoxy group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; provided that R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are not amino groups or substituted amino groups simultaneously.A process for producing the trisazo dye and an aqueous ink composition containing the trisazo dye are also disclosed.
