This invention relates to a printing device having a flat printing pad and a printing anvil that serves as a support for a data carrier having raised characters. The device makes printing impressions upon printing assemblies which include at least one sheet of paper and an ink transferring ribbon or carbon paper interspaced between the data carrier and the sheet of paper. After a printing operation on one printing assembly, the printing pad and printing anvil are separated for removal of the assembly. Mechanical means then brings the pad close to the anvil following insertion of the next assembly. An electromagnetic driving mechanism is provided by means of which the printing pad and the printing anvil printingly engage one another for attaining an impression on the printing assembly.

Nickel complexes containing ortho- or para-hydroxy-benzoate anions and a non-ionic amine ligand are valuable light-stabilizers for polymers, particularly for polyolefins. The complexes may also contain a second carboxylate anion, different from the benzoate anion, and in this case also the amine-free nickel compounds show a high stabilizing action.

A process for stabilizing homo- or copolymeric polyolefins, especially polypropylene, with certain symmetrical or asymmetrical diacyl dihydrazides is disclosed, said diacyl dihydrazides possessing good color properties, and said process being particularly advantageous with respect to thermooxidative decomposition in the presence of transition metals.

A hydrodynamic brake system for the wheel of a vehicle, particularly for the non-driven wheel of a trailer, forms an integral unit which is installed within the confines of the wheel rim at one side of the hub. The stator of the brake system is mounted on the non-rotating axle for the wheel, and the rotor of the brake system is connected with a reservoir for a supply of hydraulic brake fluid and is rotated by the hub and/or rim. The reservoir is connected by discrete feeding and evacuating conduits with a toroidal working chamber which is defined by the stator and rotor, and a portion of the reservoir is exposed to the surrounding atmosphere so as to promote the cooling of brake fluid therein. The brake fluid is forced into the chamber via feeding conduit and from the chamber back into the reservoir via evacuating conduits in response to admission of compressed gas into the reservoir whereby the fluid is heated in the chamber when the admission of gas takes place while the wheel rotates the rotor relative to the stator.

The invention relates to an airbag assembly comprising a mechanism for a stationary driver's airbag, i.e. an airbag that does not rotate with the rotation of the steering wheel. Said airbag assembly is configured in such a way that the mechanism is situated inside the steering column. The invention also relates to a gear and an operating method for an airbag assembly of this type.

A particle beam device, in particular an electron microscope, having at least two particle beam columns and one object slide having a receiving surface for receiving an object. The particle beam device makes it possible to align the surface of the object perpendicular to the beam axes of the particle beam columns, using simple means, in an accurate and error-free manner. The object slide assumes a basic position from which it may be tilted into the position in which the first or the second beam axis is perpendicular or at least almost perpendicular to the receiving surface of the object slide. In the basic position, a normal to the receiving surface of the object slide is spatially oriented such that an angle formed between the first beam axis and the normal is greater than or equal to an angle formed between the second beam axis and the normal.
