摘要: Two mirrors (15) and (16) making an angle of 90 degrees are formed on a front face of a mirror member (17). An optical fiber for input (12) and an optical fiber for output (13) are held in a fiber array (14) with a predetermined interval, and an emission lens (23) and an injection lens (24) are provided on a front face of the fiber array (14) in a way that they are opposed to end faces of the optical fiber for input (12) and the optical fiber for output (13) respectively. According to the variable optical attenuator, when the mirror member (17) is straightly moved by an actuator (18), light attenuation can be varied thereby.

摘要: A first light reflection surface (51) and a second light reflection surface (52) are formed on a lower half of a mirror block (50) in a state that these light reflection surfaces (51), (52) make 90 degrees therebetween. A first light reflection surface (51) and a second light reflection surface (52) are also formed on an upper half of the mirror block (50) in a state that these light reflection surfaces (51), (52) make 90 degrees therebetween. A third light reflection surface (53) and a fourth light reflection surface (54) are formed between the first light reflection surface (51) and the second light reflection surface (52) such that these light reflection surfaces (53), (54) make 90 degrees therebetween. According to this optical switch, by changing a region which reflects the light between the upper half and the lower half of the mirror block (50), the coupling relationship between an input optical fiber and an output optical fiber can be changed over.

摘要: The raw material in a raw material feeding apparatus of a melting cast installation is supplied, through a guide cylinder vertically mounted inside a furnace wall, towards a melting pot of a casting apparatus. A plurality of plasma arc torches, for heating the raw material, are positioned on the upper rotatable half of said furnace wall and are radially arranged around the axis of said guide cylinder with front ends thereof directed individually towards said melting pot. The raw material feeding apparatus may consist of a rotatable cylindrical drum laid substantially horizontally and a helical compartment wall to define a raw material path inside said cylindrical drum. A cylindrical limiter may be vertically mounted, inside said guide cylinder, for vertical movement so as to form an adjustable annular path for raw material between said limiter and the internal surface of said guide cylinder. An ignition piece, common for all the plasma torches, may be provided for retreat from an igniting position into a receptacle.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a method of quantitative determination of pyrophosphate (PPi) and a method of detecting a primer extension reaction that require fewer kinds of enzymes and that do not necessitate strict temperature regulation, and a kit and a device for performing these methods. In the method of measuring PPi of the present invention, a PPi sample having an unknown concentration is allowed to act on mycobacterial H+-pyrophosphatase (H+-PPase) intrinsically included in membrane, thereby measuring the PPi concentration in the sample by analyzing thus resulting H+transport. Furthermore, in the method of detecting an extension reaction of a primer of the present invention, an unknown nucleic acid sample to which examination of occurrence of the primer extension reaction is intended is allowed to act on mycobacterial H+-PPase intrinsically included in a membrane, thereby determining occurrence of the primer extension reaction on the unknown nucleic acid sample by analyzing thus resulting H+transport.

摘要: In this closed type electromagnetic relay, an insulating resin is injection molded to the surface of a coil block so that a part of a coil wound around an iron core at the side opposite a contact opening/closing mechanism is exposed. A force exerted on the coil by the resin pressure during injection molding is relieved by the exposed part, and a gas generated from the coil or the like after the injection molding is discharged out through the exposed part. Accordingly, the coil block is easily coated with the insulating resin without fears that the coil is broken at sealing time or the coated resin is broken after sealing.
