Abstract:
A temperature controlling device includes a setting controller, a gas valve, a burner, an inlet temperature sensor, a water meter, and an operational controller. User sets a desired temperature via the setting controller. The inlet temperature sensor senses an inlet temperature of water at an inlet of a pipe, and then operational controller calculates a difference between the inlet temperature and the desired temperature to get a total heat for heating water in a predetermined heating time and transfer the total heat into a total gas consumption, and controls the gas valve to supply gas to the burner with an amount of the total gas consumption in a predetermined heating time. After that, water should be heated to the desired temperature, and the operational controller controls the gas valve to decrease the gas supply for maintaining water temperature.
Abstract:
A combustor assembly of a water heater, which is provided between an air blower and a burner set to guide air from the air blower to the burner set, includes a first board, a second board and a third board stacked in sequence. Between the first board and the second board there is a first chamber and a first port, and between the second board and the first board there is a second chamber and a second port. The second board and the third board both have apertures. These boards restrict and divide an air flow of the air blower to flow along several paths to increase heat efficiency.
Abstract:
A method for examining water heater safety includes the steps of: setting a desired temperature and sensing a cold water temperature and a flow rate of water to calculate a theoretical gas consumption, and then supplying a combustor the theoretical gas consumption to heat water; sensing a hot water temperature, and calculating a temperature ratio by the desired temperature, the cold water temperature and the hot water temperature. Examining the temperature ratio may find that the water heater is abnormal or malfunctioning. An efficiency ratio may also be calculated by the theoretical gas consumption and the actual gas consumption. Examining the efficiency ratio may find that the water heater is abnormal or malfunctioning as well.

Abstract:
A ventilating hood for a water heater includes a housing having an inside formed with an air chamber, a substantially V-shaped guide board mounted in the air chamber of the housing and located between two opposite sides of the housing, and two movable boards each pivotally mounted on a respective one of the two opposite sides of the housing and each facing the guide board. Thus, the waste gas is drained outwardly from the air outlet ports of the housing smoothly and exactly by guidance of the guide board and the movable boards, thereby enhancing the air circulation in the air chamber of the housing, and thereby enhancing the working efficiency of the water heater.
Abstract:
A water heater includes a housing, an air box, two windproof hoods, and a catalyst converter. Thus, the catalyst converter converts the carbon monoxide produced during the combustion process of the burner into the carbon dioxide and the water, thereby preventing the waste gas containing the carbon monoxide from causing danger to a user so as to protect the user's safety. In addition, the waste gas containing the carbon dioxide is drained outward from the drain pipe, thereby preventing the waste gas from being gathered in the closed room.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a method of detecting water heater safety, wherein the water heater includes a blower and a combustor. The method includes starting the blower and detecting blower speed after a certain amount of time; comparing the blower speed with a first speed range, and then supplying gas to the combustor when the speed of the blower is within the first speed range, or providing an alarm when the blower speed is beyond the first speed range; detecting the speed of the blower again after the combustor heats water for a time; comparing blower speed with a second first speed range, and then supplying gas to the combustor when the blower speed is within the second speed range, or stopping gas when the blower speed is beyond the second speed range.
