Abstract:
A user equipment (UE) may be configured/scheduled with uplink (UL) transmissions over multiple channels. Each UL transmission is aligned with a boundary of a UE fixed period frame (FFP). For each UL transmission, the UE may determine whether a gNB has initiated a channel occupancy time (COT) in a gNB FFP over a corresponding channel. If the COT is not initiated, the UE may initiate a COT in the UE FFP over the channel when the channel is available, by transmitting a corresponding UL transmission over the channel in the UE FFP. The UE may send, to the gNB, information indicating UE-initiated COT channel(s) of the multiple channels over which COT(s) have been initiated by the UE. The gNB may provide feedback for the UL transmissions based on the information.
Abstract:
According to various embodiments, a wireless communication device divides a plurality of transmission beams into one or more groups of transmission beams including at least a first group of transmission beams. The wireless communication device determines a first sensing beam requirement for the first group of transmission beams. The wireless communication device determines a first sensing beam and a first scale factor so that the first sensing beam satisfies the first sensing beam requirement scaled by the first scale factor. The first sensing beam is selected from a set of candidate sensing beams. The wireless communication device performs a first Clear Channel Assessment (CCA) using the first sensing beam and a first energy detection threshold (EDT), the first EDT determined in accordance with the first scale factor.
Abstract:
A method performed by a first device includes communicating, with a second device, a LOS determination request including a dual polarization procedure indicator indicating a dual polarization procedure is used in LOS characterization of a transmission between the first device and the second device, measuring a first signal on a first resource of a channel, and measuring a second signal on a second resource of the channel, with the first and second signals comprising a single bit sequence with orthogonal polarizations and are multiplexed in a frequency domain or a code domain.
Abstract:
System and method embodiments are provided for differentiated fast initial link setup. The embodiments enable improved performance of initial link setup by stations in a wireless local area network during the association process and mitigate the negative effect of bursty association on existing associated users. In an embodiment, a method in a wirelessly enabled network component for differentiated fast initial link setup in a wireless local area network, includes determining categories of station types for initial link setup; determining initial link setup conditions for each station type, wherein the initial link setup conditions specify a priority of associating for each station type; and broadcasting initial link setup conditions to a plurality of stations, wherein the stations determine whether to associate with the wirelessly enabled network component immediately or after a time duration according to the station types and initial link setup conditions.
