Abstract: The AP can generate a distinctive 8 bit value, and fill the 8 most significant bits (MSBs) of the a 16 bit AID field to form a EDMG BSS AID. Beamforming can include a station performing a sector level sweep (SLS) process including transmitting, in sequence, a plurality of short sector sweep (SSW) frames to the other station using corresponding ones of the antenna sectors, and receiving, in sequence, a plurality of the short SSW frames from the other station, the short SSW frames having an addressing field format specifying a receiver address association ID (RA AID) and a transmitter address association ID (TA AID). The distinctive 8 bit value can be used as the AP AID.

Abstract: This application discloses an LDPC encoding and decoding method and a related apparatus. This application supports 802.11 series protocols such as Wi-Fi 8, UWB. The method includes: performing low-density parity-check LDPC encoding on an information bit sequence based on a parity check matrix, to obtain a first code word, where the parity check matrix complies with a base matrix, and the base matrix meets one of the following: Each row in the first two columns of the base matrix includes at least one 1, or the first two columns of the base matrix include “1 0” and “0 1” that alternate regularly, and “1 1” is included between “1 0” and “0 1”; and sending the first code word. The parity check matrix complies with the base matrix, which can accelerate an overall decoding convergence speed of a system.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus related to spatial modulation for WLAN (IEEE 802.11) are provided. A plurality of spatial antenna streams of modulation symbols are generated based on a dynamic mapping of a plurality of spatial streams to the plurality of spatial antenna streams. The dynamic mapping may be based on a stream of non-channel-encoded information bits, in accordance with a spatial modulation. An IEEE 802.11 frame can include an indication that the frame was transmitted using spatial modulation. Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and apparatus related to NDPA frame indication. An aspect of the disclosure provides a method. The method includes sending, to one or more stations (STAs), a request for channel state information (CSI). The request includes a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame including a first field and a second field. The first field indicates presence of the second field, and the second field indicates a variant of the NDPA frame. The method further includes receiving, from the one or more STAs, a CSI feedback response based on the request. In some embodiments, the first field is one of a sounding dialog token field and indicates the presence of the second field via at least two bits. In some embodiments, the first field is a frame control field and indicates the second field via a 4-bit subtype subfield.

Abstract: A method for generating channel state information (CSI). The method includes determining the maximum amplitude of the real and imaginary parts of each element of a channel matrix, converting each maximum amplitude to a fixed-point value within a predefined range, determining a bit-shifting number for each maximum amplitude by comparing each fixed-point value with a series of predefined threshold values within the predefined range, quantizing the real and imaginary parts of each element of the channel matrix to an integer, and bit-shifting each of the quantized real and imaginary parts of each element of the channel matrix towards the most significant bit (MSB) by the corresponding bits and truncating the bit-shifted result to a predefined number of bits for generating channel state information (CSI) for use in communication.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for transmitting control information in a header of a physical protocol data unit (PPDU), such as an IEEE 802.11 compliant PPDU. Embodiments include indicating control features in an EDMG PPDU for Wireless LAN communications.
