Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may, in a first codeword, map a first set of bits to a higher order modulation scheme and a second set of bits to a lower order scheme. The WTRU may then transmit the first set of bits in the first codeword at a first allocated power and the second set of bits in the first codeword at a second allocated power. In an example, the second allocated power may be great than the first allocated power. Further, the WTRU may determine the second allocated power based on power boosting the first allocated power. In another example, the WTRU may receive an assignment message from a base station including instructions regarding partition determination and resource assignment. The WTRU may then determine at least two partitions of bandwidth based on the assignment message. Further, each partition may have differing symbol periods, differing subcarrier spacing or both.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems for transmitting information using a unique word (UW) with discrete Fourier transform spread orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (DFT-s-OFDM) are described herein. In an example, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may generate a reference sequence. Further, the WTRU may generate a DMRS sequence based on upsampling of the reference sequence. In an example, the DMRS sequence may include a plurality of repeating sequences. Further, in an example, each repeating sequence may include a head sequence, a reference sequences and a tail sequence. Also, a UW sequence within the DMRS may include one of the repeated head sequences and one of the repeated tail sequences. In addition, the WTRU may generate a DMRS signal based on a waveform operation on the DMRS sequence. The WTRU may then transmit the DMRS signal as a reference signal.

Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a first signal including a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and a secondary synchronization signal (SSS). The PSS and SSS may be received in a resource block of a cell and the resource block may have a first numerology. Further, the first numerology may have a first subcarrier spacing, while other resources of the cell at a same time as the resource block may have a second numerology with a different subcarrier spacing than the first numerology. In addition, the WTRU may determine synchronization based on the PSS and SSS. Also, the WTRU may receive a second signal in the cell, and the second signal may have the second numerology. Moreover, the WTRU may transmit user data. In a further example, the WTRU may search a frequency raster for the PSS and the SSS.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, devices, and computer program products directed to phase-continuous frequency selective precoding are provided. Included among these classes are methods for use in connection with dynamic precoding resource block group (PRG) configuration and with codebook based transmission configuration. Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may modulate, based on a number of uplink control bits, a first sequence or the first sequence and a second sequence. The WTRU may spread the first sequence and the second sequence with a complementary sequence pair, concatenate parts of the first sequence and the second sequence in interlaced resource blocks (RBs), and perform an inverse discrete Fourier transform (IDFT) on the interlaced parts. The WTRU may transmit on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) a signal outputted by the IDFT.

Abstract: Methods and systems for operation in a wireless network are provided, the methods including receiving modulated data symbols and zeros in a frequency-domain, and mapping in the frequency-domain the modulated data symbols and zeros in an interleaved manner to sub-carriers within a resource allocation. The methods and systems further include generating a time-domain data signal based on the mapped sub-carriers, and generating a time domain cancellation signal by sign inverting and repeating a predetermined number of time-domain samples at a tail portion of the data signal. The methods and systems further include combining the time-domain data signal and the time domain cancellation signal to generate an exact zero tail data signal such that the exact zero tail data signal has a zero tail length equal to the predetermined number of time-domain samples, and transmitting the exact zero tail data signal.
