A mobile gaming device may be a player's own personal tablet, smartphone, PDA, etc., with an application program installed via the internet for carrying out a remote gaming session. All gaming functions are carried out by a stationary gaming terminal communicating with the mobile device, such as by using WiFi. The mobile device operates as a user interface. Registration for the mobile device may be via a registration terminal connected in a network with a plurality of gaming terminals. The mobile device may communicate wirelessly with the registration terminal, and the registration terminal then communicates with the played gaming terminal via the network. The mobile device may select to play games offered by any available gaming terminal. The gaming terminals may be gaming machines. The registration terminal may also be a cashing out terminal and print a ticket.

An electronic gaming machine (EGM) includes a display having a display surface configured to provide stereoscopic 3D viewing of at least a portion of the game. The portion of the game includes a 3D interface element. The EGM further includes a locating sensor that generates an electronic signal based on a player's location in a sensing space. The EGM includes an ultrasonic emitter configured to emit an ultrasonic field. At least a portion of the ultrasonic field is located in the sensing space. The EGM also includes one or more processors configured to: identify a location of one or more player features based on the electrical signal from the locating sensor; determine that the location of the player features is associated with the 3D interface element; and control one or more of the ultrasonic emitters based on the identified location to provide tactile feedback to the player.

Systems and methods for automated discovery of gaming preferences and delivery of gaming choices based gaming preferences are disclosed. The systems and methods may operate in real time and may detect and analyze data representing various game features and/or game player behavior and match the data with predetermined models, profiles or game player types. Game choices may then be presented to the game player based on the analysis of the data. Systems and methods to analyze and categorize the game player behavior are also disclosed, including mining data in a cluster model based analysis to identify and develop the models, profiles or game player types and to select the games to be provided for each of the identified models, profiles or game player types. A different collection of games may be provided for each of the identified models, profiles or game player types.

A method for controlling a wagering gaming apparatus includes rendering a 3-dimensional display of a game, comprising visually projecting a game component out of a screen of a display device and into a 3-dimensional space between the screen and a player; receiving, from a contactless sensor device, location information indicative of a location of an anatomical feature of a player of the wagering game apparatus; generating a virtual object corresponding to the anatomical feature of the player; rendering the virtual object in the 3-dimensional space, comprising visually projecting the virtual object out of the screen of the display device and into the 3-dimensional space between the screen and the player; associating a virtual vector field in the 3-dimensional space with the virtual object; and causing the game component to move in the 3-dimensional space in response to the virtual vector field associated with the virtual object.

If the communications link is temporarily broken during a game, the mobile device will create the appearance that the game is continuous, such as by continuing to spin reels, until communications are re-established. The reels will stop once the mobile device receives the final outcome from the gaming terminal. The player may pause the game to temporarily suspend the minimum game frequency rules. The mobile device may switch between gaming terminals. For 3D video, the original format may be adjusted for the mobile device. The gaming terminal may be a gaming machine.
Abstract:
While a player is playing one game on a gaming machine, the systems and methods described herein recommend other games to the player based on the player's past gaming history, accessed via player registration, and the player's real time game play. Upon the player selecting a different game, the system may automatically transfers the player's credits between games or gaming machines. Each gaming machine may carry out one or more game.
