摘要： There are provided a method of modulating a photo-modulation layer correspondingly with an electric field applied thereto by applying an alternating electric field to a semiconductor layer disposed adjacent to the photo-modulation layer to vary a thickness of a depletion layer thereof responsive to the alternating electric field and applying the electric field to the photo-modulation layer while the alternating electric field is applied to the semiconductor layer and varying the thickness of the depletion layer, and a system for reproducing a charge latent image recorded in a recording medium which has at least a charge hold layer holding the charge latent image comprising a photo-modulation layer disposed adjacent to the recording medium so as to be subjected to an electric field generated by the charge latent image held on the charge hold layer, a semiconductor layer disposed adjacent to the photo-modulation layer, the semiconductor layer having a depletion layer which has a capacitance variable in response to an applied varying electric field, means for applying the varying electric field to the semiconductor layer for varying the capacitance of the depletion layer thus subjecting the electric field generated by the charge latent image being applied to the photo-modulation layer and means for projecting a reading light passing through the photo-modulation layer and for detecting modulation of the reading light passed therethrough.

摘要： There is provided a photoelectric conversion device for an electro-magnetic radiation beam incident thereto, into a charge pattern, the electro-magnetic radiation beam carrying information intended to be recorded. The device has electrodes, a photo-conductive layer member laminated to the electrodes having maximum thickness and a surface defining the maximum thickness between the electrodes, and a gap defined between the surface and a recording member disposed to face the surface of the photo-conductive layer member. There is further provided an apparatus for recording a charge latent image without losing the high resolution. The apparatus has a photoelectric conversion device having an electrode and a photo-conductive layer member on which the charge latent image is generated by projecting an optical image carrying information signals to the photo-conductive layer member, and a recording member having an electrode and a charge holding layer member facing the photo-conductive layer member to form a gap therebetween. A predetermined voltage is applied between the electrodes of the photoelectric conversion device and the recording member to transfer the charge latent image to the charge holding member by spark discharge.

摘要： A charge latent image recording medium includes an electrode, a dielectric member, a member suppressing a transfer of charges, and a photoconductive member laminated in the order without any gaps therebetween. A system for reading a charge latent image recorded in a recording member includes means for projecting a first electromagnetic radiation beam along a path extending to the recording member, means projecting a second electromagnetic radiation beam approximately along the path for reading the charge latent image, guiding means disposed in the path changing electric resistance thereof along the path threthrough, in response to the first electromagnetic radiation beam projected thereto, for guiding an electric field of charges of the charge latent iamge.

During a reproducing process, the information is read out from the recording medium and an information signal representing the readout information is generated. The information is demodulated from the information signal. The reference signal is used in the demodulation of the information from the information signal.

摘要： A reproducing apparatus which reproduces a charge latent image recorded in a recording medium. The apparatus has an electromagnetic radiation source, an optical system for leading an electromagnetic radiation ray emitted from the electromagnetic radiation source in a direction toward a recording medium on which an object information to be read is prerecorded as a charge latent image, and a read head arranged closely facing to the recording medium and arranged in series in a travelling path of the electromagnetic radiation ray. The read head is of a multilayer structure comprising a support base plate, a photo modulation material layer for generating a mode modulation of said electromagnetic radiation ray which passes the photo modulation material layer therethrough in response to intensity of an electric field by said charge latent image, and an electrode for applying a predetermined electric field to said photo modulation layer, and for allowing to receive the electromagnetic radiation ray in a read wavelength range and transmit thereof to the photo modulation layer, an output surface facing to a processor for emitting thereto the electromagnetic ray having passed through the electrode and the photo modulation layer, said processor processing the electromagnetic ray modulated by going through the photo modulation material layer and outputted from the output surface.

摘要： A photo-to-photo conversion element is disclosed.
