    摘要: An imaging system and method for producing a digital image from pixel signals captured by a pixel array is disclosed. First pixel signals, generated during a first exposure period, are read out from a first group of pixels of the pixel array. The first group of pixels is reset after reading out the first pixel signals. Second pixel signals from the first group of pixel are read out after resetting the first group of pixels. The second pixel signals are generated during a second exposure period. Third pixel signals from a second group of pixels of the pixel array are read out. The third pixel signals are generated during a third exposure period that overlaps at least a portion of the first and second exposure periods. The first, second, and third pixel signals are used to produce the digital image.

    摘要: In compressions of digital images having a plurality of initial pixels, an image type and a quantization step-size set preassigned to the image type, are associated with a respective coordinate of each of the initial pixels. The digital image is decomposed to produce a plurality of subbands. Coefficients of the subbands define a plurality of resultant pixels, each having a respective one of the coordinates. The subband coefficients also define, for each subband coefficient, a group of resultant pixels to which the subband coefficient contributes. After the decomposition, each of the subband coefficients are shrunk by a respective adjustment that is a function of the respective quantization step-size sets associated with the coordinates of the resultant pixels to which the subband coefficient contributes.
