Abstract:
A gap-type overhead transmission line includes a steel core member; a conductor layer positioned to surround the steel core member and having at least one strand wire aggregated therein; and a coating layer interposed in a solid state between the steel core member and the conductor layer so as to surround the steel core member, the coating layer including a material that is sublimated after the conductor layer is stranded so as to form a predetermined gap between the steel core member and the conductor layer.
Abstract:
A rotor blade and an HDD (hard disk drive) having the same, wherein the rotor blade is mounted together with a disk-shaped data storing medium on a spindle motor of the HDD to rotate coaxially with the disk-shaped data storing medium. The rotor blade includes a plurality of blades to increase a floating force applied to a slider that records or reads data on or from the disk-shaped data storing medium by increasing a speed of an airflow in an inner region of the disk-shaped data storing medium.
Abstract:
A spindle motor assembly includes a spindle motor, a disk for storing data, the disk being installed on the spindle motor, and a disk clamp for fixing the disk to the spindle motor. The disk clamp includes a hollow formed in a central portion thereof, a coupling portion formed around an external circumference of the hollow and including a plurality of screw insertion holes into which clamp fastening screws to be coupled to the spindle motor are inserted, and a pressing portion formed around an external circumference of the coupling portion to press the disk. The coupling portion includes a first region and a second region that are asymmetrical with respect to each other, the plurality of screw insertion holes are formed in the first region only, and a thickness extension portion or a through hole is formed in at least a portion of the second region.
Abstract:
A nozzle control method and a nozzle control device. The nozzle control method includes discriminating between the nozzle(s) to eject the ink droplets from the nozzle(s) not to eject the ink droplets; and generating a pressure wave with a predetermined amplitude in the nozzle(s) not to eject the ink droplets when the ink droplets are ejected from the nozzle(s) to eject the ink droplets. Accordingly, it is possible to produce a color filter with a uniform thickness regardless of the print pattern. The ink droplets with a constant size can be ejected when the nozzle pitch of the print head is not the same width as the print pattern width. Therefore, the print quality is improved by a uniformizing ink thickness in which the print job is performed to the print medium regardless of the number of nozzles ejecting the ink droplets concurrently.
Abstract:
A nozzle drive control device and method includes applying a drive voltage to a nozzle, sensing a size or speed of an ink droplet ejected by the applied drive voltage, determining whether the sensed result is included within a predetermined range, and calculating the drive voltage to eject an ink droplet when the sensed size or ejecting speed of the ejected ink droplet is not included within the predetermined range.
Abstract:
A hard disk drive with a housing including a base member supporting a spindle motor rotating a data storage disk and an actuator having a read/write head, a cover member coupled to the base member to encompass the spindle motor and the actuator, a damping plate spaced a predetermined distance from an upper surface of the cover member to form an air gap between the damping plate and the cover member, a buffer member arranged between an edge portion of the cover member and an edge portion of the damping plate, and an air channel between the cover member and the damping plate to connect the air gap with the outside.
Abstract:
A reticle pre-alignment apparatus and method are provided. The apparatus includes a reticle carrier for loading a reticle at a predetermined position on a reticle stage, a light source arranged over the reticle stage for emitting light, an alignment mark formed in the reticle for passing the light, a sensor arranged under the reticle stage for receiving the light passed through the alignment mark to generate a predetermined signal, and a controller for processing the signal from the sensor to drive the reticle carrier, thereby enhancing productivity and simplifying the pre-alignment apparatus and method by increasing speed and accuracy.
