Abstract:
A system for attachment of decorative trim members to truck and recreational vehicle wheels is adaptable for use with varying makes of wheels. Specially configured brackets and retaining clips allow the attachment system to use wheel locator pins as a basis for securing and automatically centering the attachment system on the center of the wheel. Removal of existing wheel lug nuts is not required.
Abstract:
A system designed to introduce fresh air ventilation into the living space, eliminate contaminants, and add fresh air to augment a building's HVAC system. This is done in order to save energy, and the costs associated with heat loss or gain in a building. The system employs the use of geothermal energy conferred to air via a cavity which is constructed in the basement, on the slab, foundation, in the crawl space and/or attic of a building. This cavity is created to circulate, absorb and store/release the geo-solar characteristics of a building, taking advantage the consistent subterranean temperature of the earth and/or sun, in order to warm air from outside during the winter minimizing the foundation heat sink, and cool air during the summer. One or more heat exchangers are used to transfer the energy from contaminated air in the cavity to clean air destined for the HVAC system.
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a clip mechanism having a first clip and a second clip and a crossed orientation. This crossed clip mechanism has opposed ends which are biased to frictionally or biasedly grasp the lip of a hub or the hub itself. If the lip of the hub is not available, holes can be placed in the opposed ends to receive the bolts on the face of the hub. The opposed ends also extend outwardly to be releasibly received by the inside of the hub cover.
Abstract:
A wheel trim attachment system using stud extenders for attachment to either a front or rear wheel of a motor vehicle. The device is designed such that the same stud extender can be used for the front wheel as can be used for the rear wheel. The stud extenders allow attachment of the decorative trim member without removal of an existing lug. One embodiment of the trim member allows for attachment of a stud extender even where there are insufficient threads on a wheel stud above a wheel lug.
Abstract:
Apparatus for calibrating and testing infrared detection devices is provided. The apparatus comprises a substrate which supports a target pattern of dielectric material which is at least partially absorbing to infrared radiation. A heater is used to supply heat to the substrate. Since the substrate and dielectric material have different emissivities, an apparent temperature difference is perceived by an IR detection device. As a consequence, temperature differences as low as about 0.02.degree. C. and below can be generated for calibrating and testing IR imaging devices.
Abstract:
An attachment system including an attachment sleeve or attachment arm is provided for attaching a wheel cover, or wheel trim to a vehicle. The attachment sleeve attaches to a nut present on the vehicle. The arm located within the axle housing of the wheel cover provides a compression fitting against parts of the rear hub of a vehicle. It is by compression engagement that the attachment sleeve or arm provides attachment of the wheel cover to the vehicle. Also disclosed is an attachment system kit and method of use thereof.
