    Abstract: Implementations disclosed and claimed herein provide a wheel cover system. In one implementation, an inward force exerted against a wheel cover of the wheel cover assembly in an inward direction towards the hub is received. The inward force overcomes a spring bias of a spring of the receiver and translates the wheel cover assembly in the inward direction. A first rotational force rotating the wheel cover assembly in a first direction is received. The first post guides and engages the first hook, and the second post guides and engages the second hook during rotation. A first positive feedback is generated in response to the inward force and the first rotational force. The wheel cover assembly is releaseably locked to the receiver by translating the wheel cover assembly in the outward direction using an outward force generated by the spring bias. The outward force provides a second positive feedback.

    Abstract: A wheel cover assembly for a vehicle wheel is provided. The wheel cover assembly includes a mounting apparatus and a wheel cover. The mounting apparatus is adapted for mounting on lug nuts of a vehicle wheel. The mounting apparatus is adjustable in both axial and radial directions. Dual quick release connections releasably connect the wheel cover to the mounting apparatus. The wheel cover may include a plurality of ventilation openings, and a plurality of radially extending fan blades may be disposed on an inner surface of the wheel cover.

    Abstract: A threaded fastener comprises a fastener body having a threaded portion, a tool engaging surface, and a head cap receiving bore. The head cap receiving bore has a head cap bearing surface and a head cap retaining surface. A head cap has a rigid base and a central stem extending from the base. The head cap stem is disposed in the head cap receiving bore. The head cap base has a body bearing surface in contacting or near-contacting engagement with the head cap bearing surface. The head cap base further has a head cap outer surface. A head cap retainer interconnects the head cap stem and head cap retaining surface. The head cap retainer comprises a material of sufficient strength and rigidity to retain the head cap on the fastener body in a high-strength, axially non-deformable interconnection that holds the head cap in a substantially fixed and immovable axial position.

    Abstract: A push on plastic wheel trim includes a disc and plastic lug nut caps seated in apertures formed in the disc. Each cap includes at least one axial panel having a lug nut engaging surface projecting from its inner face and at least one aperture engaging leg, having a flange projecting from its outer face. The lug nut engaging surface may comprise a partial thread segment configured to snap into the roots of external threads formed on the lug nuts or a lip which snaps over an annular lug nut flange. The caps are retained in the apertures by the leg flange engaging the inner face of the wheel cover disc and an annular cap flange which engages the outer face of the disc.
