A display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a substrate having a display region for displaying an image; a plurality of pixels located in the display region of the substrate; and a sealing layer covering the plurality of pixels, wherein the sealing layer includes a first inorganic material film, a second inorganic material film, a resin material layer, and a third inorganic material film in this order from the side where the pixels are arranged, and the second inorganic material film is in contact with the resin material layer, has a composition different from that of the first inorganic material film, and has a higher oxygen content than the first inorganic material film.

The surface of the first inorganic layer includes a recurved area changed from an area around the convex portion to the convex portion, and a flat area surrounding the element layer. The flat area includes an outer peripheral area on an outer end of the first inorganic layer, and an inner peripheral area between the outer peripheral area and the recurved area. The organic layer has an end in the outer peripheral area, has another portion in the recurved area, and avoids the inner peripheral area. A part of the second inorganic layer contacts the first inorganic layer in the inner peripheral area.

A display device is provided including a display region arranged with a plurality of main pixels formed from a group including a red pixel, green pixel, blue pixel and white pixel, wherein the main pixel includes an arrangement in which the white pixel is adjacent to a pixel other than the blue pixel, and the display region is arranged so that white pixels in each of the main pixels are mutually adjacent. In the main pixel, the white pixel may be adjacent to the green pixel. In addition, in the main pixel, the blue pixel may be adjacent to the red pixel.
