摘要: A method of modifying a portion of a digital image. In one arrangement, a digital image is displayed on a display, and the gaze data of a user viewing the image on the display is determined. The portion of the image being viewed by the user corresponding to the determined gaze data to identify a gaze region is then determined. The identified gaze region is modified to generate a modified gaze region, and the resulting modified gaze region is displayed on the display.

摘要: An improved electronic solid-state record/playback device (SSRPD) and electronic system may be used to record and playback information such as audio, video, control, and other data. The SSRPD uses no tape or moving parts in the actual record/playback process but includes an audio and/or video and/or other data record/playback module (RPM), which performs all of the record signal conversion, recording and data compression algorithms, digital signal processing, and playback signal conversion. The SSRPD has program input processing and control output processing modules so that other devices may be controlled in different ways including interactive control. A time and control processor module facilitates internal synchronization of the SSRPD audio, video, and control information, as well as synchronization with other devices. The SSRPD information described is recorded into an internal resident memory(s). The novel interface allows information to be exchanged without degradation via a digital Portable Storage Device (PSD) which may be a Random Access Memory card (RAM card), with other SSRPDs as well as to a special Computer Interface Device (CID). The CID is an intelligent device that connects to a standard computing device such as a PC and facilitates functions such as reading, writing, editing, and archiving PSD data, as well as performing diagnostic routines.

摘要: An audio system for reduction and/or elimination of distortion provides a microphone or instrument sound pick up for the various musical instruments and singers within the performance venue. The sound provided by the microphone or audio pick up is coupled to an amplifier, the output of which is coupled to a speaker system. In accordance with the present invention, a microphone is positioned within the output range of the speaker system and is coupled to one input of a comparator circuit. The remaining input of the comparator circuit is coupled to the microphones or pick ups of the musical instruments and singers. An additive device receives the output signal of the comparator and the originating signal from the microphones or pick ups to form a correcting audio signal which is applied to the amplifier. In an alternate embodiment of the present invention, an adaptive preamplifier is interposed between the originating microphones and audio pick ups and the amplifier. The adaptive preamplifier receives the output of the comparator and imposes alteration upon the signal processed through the preamplifier for application to the amplifier. In a still further alternate embodiment of the present invention, an adaptive amplifier includes a plurality of control elements which are capable of altering the transmission characteristic of the amplifier for the applied signals. The adaptive controls are coupled to and controlled by the comparator.

摘要: A method and a system are disclosed for labeling an anatomical point associated with a lesion in an organ such as a lung. The method includes: a segmentation of a vessel tree anatomical structure starting from an autonomously determined initial image point; labeling the vessel segments of the vessel tree segmentation with segment labels based on a priori anatomical knowledge, thereby creating an individualized anatomical model; receiving a user-specified image point having a location from a user and locating a nearby vessel structure; tracking along the vessel structure in a direction towards a root of a parent vessel tree until a prior labeled vessel segment is encountered in the anatomical model, and assigning the label of the encountered prior labeled vessel segment from the anatomical model as an anatomical location label of the user-specified image point.

摘要: A digital image editing method includes receiving a three-dimensional volume image of an anatomical object of interest, wherein the volume image is characterized by first and second mutually exclusive segmentation classes. The method also includes deriving a two-dimensional slice image from the volume image, selecting a single point on the slice image within the second segmentation class, and defining a plane in response to the selection of the single point, the plane dividing the second segmentation class into a target portion corresponding to the object and a remainder portion.
