Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to collapsible hood for a heating and cooling system that includes a plurality of panels configured to couple to a housing of the heating and cooling system, wherein the plurality of panels is configured to be translated between a collapsed position and an open position, wherein the plurality of panels is substantially flush against the housing in the collapsed position to configure the heating and cooling system for transportation, and wherein the plurality of panels are configured to extend from the housing to protect openings in an air intake of the housing and to allow passage of air through the air intake in the open position.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include a drive belt tensioner configured to adjust tension in a drive belt of a blower assembly for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system. The drive belt tensioner includes a mounting bracket configured to couple directly to a blower housing that is configured to house a blower of the blower assembly. The drive belt tensioner further includes an idler pulley configured to contact the drive belt. A position of the idler pulley is adjustable relative to the mounting bracket to enable adjustment of the tension in the drive belt.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a condenser assembly for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system that includes a condenser coil having a plurality of tubes configured to flow a refrigerant therethrough for heat transfer between the refrigerant and a flow of air passing across the plurality of tubes, and a porous material having a plurality of fluid retaining passages, in which the plurality of fluid retaining passages is configured to receive a fluid and enable the flow of air to pass through the porous material and transfer of thermal energy to between the fluid and the flow of air. The porous material is disposed upstream of the condenser coil with respect to the flow of air such that the flow of air passes through the porous material before passing across the plurality of tubes.

The heat exchanger includes a first coil and a second coil packaged in a common support structure. The HVAC unit further has a flow control system configured to direct refrigerant flow to the first coil from the expansion valve in a cooling mode of the HVAC unit and to the first coil from the compressor in a reheat mode of the HVAC unit, and configured to direct refrigerant flow to the second coil from the expansion valve in both the cooling mode and the reheat mode of the HVAC unit.

Abstract: A fan assembly for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) unit includes a hub having a fan blade extending therefrom. The fan assembly includes a fan pitch adjuster configured to engage the fan blade and to adjust a pitch of the fan blade relative to the hub in response to movement of the fan pitch adjuster relative to the hub. The fan assembly also includes a motor shaft coupled to the fan pitch adjuster and to the hub, where the motor shaft is configured to drive rotation of the fan pitch adjuster and the hub. The fan assembly further includes an actuator coupled to the fan pitch adjuster and configured to axially move the fan pitch adjuster along the motor shaft and relative to the hub to adjust the pitch of the fan blade.
