Abstract:
A shelf pin hole jig for drilling shelf pin holes having a main body and an alignment member removably connected to the main body for aligning the jig. The main body has a plurality of guide channels with hardened guide inserts for receiving and guiding a drill bit with a stop collar. Removably connected to either side of the main body is an alignment member which extends below the main body and is used for alignment of the jig. The main body also has a plurality of compartments for holding drill bits and alignment pins.
Abstract:
A quick adjust ratcheting pocket hole jig is presented. The pocket hole jig has a base with a removable upright connected thereto. A guide assembly is slidably received within the upright. Removable and replaceable side supports are connected to the base by way of a dove tail joint. Removable and replaceable adjustable stops are connected to the base by way of key holes. A clamp assembly is connected to the base having a handle portion and a clamp follower. The clamp follower has a ratcheting mechanism and a compressible plunger assembly. The clamp follower can quickly be adjusted using a button on the clamp follower that disengages the ratcheting member such that it can be quickly adjusted. When the handle is operated, it draws the clamp follower towards the upright and guide assembly compressing the spring loaded plunger assembly thereby quickly and tightly and adjustably holding a workpiece therebetween.
Abstract:
An infinity jig, infinity plug and a method of forming an infinity joint is presented. The infinity jig has a base with a work surface and an upright with a work surface connected to the base at an approximate perpendicular alignment. The upright includes a plurality of drill guides that are positioned such that a portion of a drill bit inserted into the drill guide extends below the work surface of the base. An infinity hole is formed by using a drill bit having a stop collar to drill partially into a workpiece with a portion of the drill bit exiting a connecting surface of the work piece. To form an infinity joint, two workpieces having infinity holes therein are aligned with one another and an infinity plug is inserted in the aligned infinity holes. The infinity plug pulls the two workpieces together providing a tight and aesthetically pleasing joint.
Abstract:
A pocket hole drilling machine is presented. The pocket hole drilling machine has a cabinet made of a molded unitary monolithic piece. A monolithic top plate is connected to the cabinet with an opening in the middle for an insert plate which is positioned therein. A handle extends above the top plated as does a clamping assembly however actuating mechanics of the device move within the cabinet, thereby improving safety by eliminating pinchpoints. An adjustable fence assembly having cam locks connected thereto is also connected to the top plate. This arrangement provides a low cost, safe and efficient pocket hole drilling machine.
Abstract:
An adjustable holding device having a pair of adjustment drill grooves and a transverse exhaust channel. Attached to the base is a vertical support member having guide supports. At least one of the guide supports is horizontally adjustable. Drill guides are removably attached to the guide support for both vertical and horizontal adjustment.
Abstract:
A self-adjusting clamp system having an upper clamp arm connected to an upper handle and a lower clamp arm connected to a lower handle. The lower handle includes a hollow interior that defines an axis of reciprocation. A wedge lock and activator wedge are positioned within the hollow interior and separated by a separation plate. As the upper handle and lower handle are opened and closed, the wedge lock and activator wedge slide within the hollow interior of the lower handle along the axis of reciprocation as the separation plate slides vertically within a slot in the lower handle. The wedge lock, separation plate and activator wedge work in cooperation with one another to lock and unlock the clamp arms on workpieces of various widths automatically and without user-applied adjustments.
Abstract:
An expandable locking mechanism having a mounting plate and an anchor mechanism. A clamp is attached to the mounting plate and the anchor mechanism, which extends through the mounting plate, is connected to a work bench
Abstract:
In one example, a machinery fence support system comprises a worktable having a recess therein and a cutting element protruding upwardly from the worktable. The system has a track which is slidably received within the recess of the worktable. A bracket connected to the track; and a sacrificial fence is adjustably connected to the bracket. A track system is connected to the sacrificial fence and a stop assembly connected to the track system. The track slides within the recess of the worktable such that the sacrificial fence passes over the cutting element such that a beaded face frame feature is cut into a workpiece.
