    摘要: An absorption-type air-conditioning apparatus includes an overflow pipe connecting a phase separator and an absorption chamber. When the apparatus begins operation, and the pressure differential between the phase separator and the evaporation chamber is insufficient to cause the absorption liquid to flow smoothly via dispenser nozzles into the absorption chamber, excessive accumulation of absorption liquid in the phase separator is prevented by allowing the excess liquid to bypass the nozzles via the overflow pipe. When the temperature of the absorption liquid in the phase separator increases so that the pressure differential between the phase separator and the absorption chamber is increased, the overflow pipe is closed, and normal operation of the apparatus proceeds.

    摘要: A check-valve mechanism of a pulse combustion apparatus for passing air into a mixing chamber includes (i) a partition wall separating an air inlet chamber and the mixing chamber from each other, (ii) a plurality of rear discs of relatively small diameters spaced apart from the partition wall and located inside the mixing chamber, and (iii) a plurality of front discs, or valve members, located between said partition wall and said rear discs; respectively. The circular portions of the partition wall which overlies the respective valve members (as viewed from the side of the air inlet chamber) each have a plurality of radially-extended elongate openings for passing air into the mixing chamber. Each rear disc has a plurality of small circular openings. Each valve member is axially movable between the partition wall and the associated rear disc, thereby opening and closing the elongate openings. A check-valve mechanism for passing fuel gas into a gas distributing chamber includes (i) an outlet-side wall of a fuel gas intlet chamber, (ii) a rear disc spaced apart from the outlet-side wall in a downstream direction and located outside the gas inlet chamber, and (iii) a front disc, or valve member, located between the foregoing outlet-side wall and the rear disc. The outlet-side wall of the gas inlet chamber has a plurality of radially-extended elongate openings for passing fuel gas into the gas distributing chamber.

    摘要: An air-cooled absorption-type air-conditioning apparatus in which a simple design allows for heating and cooling and in addition in which freezing is prevented during the heating operation. A liquid coolant from the condenser is dripped onto the inner surface of the outer pipes in the evaporation-absorption chambers and removes the evaporation heat due to evaporation in low pressure. Therefore, the outer pipes are cooled. Overcooling of the outer pipes is prevented by a fan which directs the heat generated at the condenser to the outer pipes. The evaporated coolant is absorbed in the high-concentration liquid on the outer surface of the water pipes and the absorption heat generated by the high-concentration liquid heats the water flowing in the water pipes. A room unit performs the heating or cooling operation by using warm or chilled water circulating in the water pipes.

    摘要: A pulse combustion device wherein pulse combustion of a rich mixture of primary air and gaseous fuel is established without provision of conventional non-return valves. The pulse combustion device includes a housing forming therein a combustion chamber, a spark plug mounted on the housing and having an electrode located in the combustion chamber, an air intake nozzle plate formed with at least one air intake port and fixedly coupled within the housing to form an air intake chamber in open communication with the combustion chamber through the air intake port, at least one gas intake nozzle coupled with the air intake nozzle plate to admit a rich mixture of primary air and gaseous fuel under pressure therethrough into the combustion chamber, and a baffle plate secured in place within the housing at a position spaced from an inside surface of the air intake nozzle plate with a predetermined clearance in such a manner as to cover the air intake port and gas intake nozzle, the baffle plate being formed smaller in diameter than the housing to form an annular passage in open communication with the combustion chamber, and an electrically operated blower arranged to forcibly supply secondary air therefrom into the air intake chamber.
