摘要： A photographing apparatus which realizes a taking lens barrel whose shape is not largely changed during panning or tilting shot, thereby being compact in size and easy to handle. In the photographing apparatus, an image pickup device (14i) outputs an electric signal from object light. A bending optical system (14) has a front lens (14f) and lens groups (14j, 14k, 14l, and 14m) and a mirror (14c) disposed between the front lens and the laminated lens 14j, to guide the object light to the image pickup device. A panning actuator (19) and a tilt actuator (15f) cause the mirror and the front lens or the lens groups to be pivotally moved in unison about respective different axes to thereby change a shooting direction.

摘要： An optical device capable of controlling its optical transmittance. The optical device has a first liquid conductive or having a polarity and a second liquid. The first and second liquids are substantially equal in refractive index but differ in transmittance. The first and second liquids do not mix with each other. The first and second liquids are sealingly contained in a container in such state that the boundary therebetween has a predetermined shape. When a voltage is applied between these liquids through electrodes formed in such a place or condition as to avoid interference with passage of a bundle of rays incident upon the optical element, the output of the applied voltage is selected under control to change the shape of the boundary, thereby changing the quantity of transmitted light in the bundle of rays traveling through the optical device.

摘要： In a motor, a rotor made of a permanent magnet which is equally divided in the circumferential direction to be alternately magnetized to different poles is formed into a cylindrical shape. The first coil, the rotor, and the second coil are sequentially arranged in the axial direction of the rotor. The first outer and inner magnetic poles excited by the first coil are set to oppose the outer and inner circumferential surfaces, respectively, of the rotor, and the second outer and inner magnetic poles excited by the second coil are set to oppose the outer and inner circumferential surfaces, respectively, of the rotor. An electric element is arranged at a position to oppose, across a predetermined gap, the circumferential surface of the permanent magnet not covered with the first or second outer magnetic pole. Alternatively, an electric element and a circuit pattern are formed on a connection member that connects the first and second outer magnetic poles to each other.

摘要： An automatic status discriminator has a distance measuring unit for calculating the distance to a target object to provide a signal corresponding to the distance. A reflection coefficient calculation unit calculates the reflection coefficient of the target object on the basis of the signal provided from the distance measuring unit. A light intensity measuring unit provides signals respectively corresponding to the brightness of the target object and the brightness of a region near the target object. An adjusting unit adjusts the signal corresponding to the brightness of the target object on the basis of the reflection coefficient obtained from the reflection coefficient calculation unit to provide the adjusted signal. A status discriminating means compares the signal corresponding to the brightness of the region near the target object with the output from the adjusting unit to thereby discriminate the status of the target object.
