摘要: A scalable solar module array includes a first module electrically coupled to a second module. The first and second module each include a solar panel to collect solar radiation, one or more receptacles located on the solar panel, wherein the one or more receptacles are configured to accept a charging cable for an electronic device, and a mounting member. The first and second modules are electrically coupled through a detachable cable, the cable being connected to a receptacle of the first module and a receptacle of the second module. The one or more receptacles may also be configured to accept a charging cable of an electronic device.

摘要: A self-cleaning foldable solar panel system with a foldable support system and a self-cleaning unit is provided. The foldable support system is composed of a main support board, a first support board, and a second support board. The solar panels of the array are mounted on support frames of the support boards by means of worm wheels. The folding support system allows the solar panels to save space when they are not in use. The support frame provides tilt angle adjustment for the solar panels. The worm wheels allow the solar panel to be adjusted to rotate horizontally. The reciprocating motion and rotation of the rotary brush that works when the system is in folded status make it possible to keep the system clean by brushing it automatically. Compared to traditional solar panels, the present self-cleaning foldable solar panel system is portable, angle-adjustable, and self-cleaning.

摘要: Methods and systems stowing one or more photovoltaic (PV) modules based on a weather event forecasts are provided. In one embodiment, a method may include receiving a weather event forecast, such as a snow event forecast, for a location of a tracking system that includes a plurality of PV modules, determining that the weather event forecast for the location of the tracking system exceeds a threshold level of severity, and automatically positioning the plurality of PV modules at the location of the tracking system into a stow configuration. In some embodiments, the method may further require receiving confirmation of the weather event from a sensor at the location of the tracking system before positioning the PV modules in the stow configuration.

摘要: An apparatus includes a plurality of solar panels, a horizontal scissor configured to support the plurality of solar panels, and an electronic drive motor that is configured to cause the horizontal scissor to extend or retract. The horizontal scissor includes a plurality of beams. The apparatus also includes a drive shaft and drive screw which are configured to extend or retract the horizontal scissor in response to movement of the electronic drive motor. The horizontal scissor and the electronic drive motor are coupled to a standard size unit shipping container. A first beam of the plurality of beams is made of a first material, and a second beam of the plurality of beams is made of a second material. The horizontal scissor is configured so that when fully retracted it fits into one half of the volume available inside the standard size shipping container.

摘要: Solar panels and solar platforms having three-dimensional solar harvesting surfaces are disclosed. The solar panels and solar platforms may take a volumetric approach in harvesting solar energy by having the active sides of the solar surfaces protruding upwards rather than being merely planar like a conventional solar panel. The three-dimensional design of such active sides may help in capturing scattered photons reflected by adjacent solar surfaces and also align in optimum orientations relative to the sun.

When the photovoltaic module is mounted on the color steel tile, the connecting end supports the photovoltaic module.

摘要: A solar array structure for a spacecraft includes one or a pair of flexible blanket or other foldable solar arrays and a deployable frame structure. The deployable frame structure includes a T-shaped yoke structure, a T-shaped end structure, and one or more rigid beams, the T-shaped yoke structure connectable to the spacecraft. When deployed, the frame structure tensions the flexible blanket solar array or arrays between the T-shaped yoke structure and the T-shaped end structure. When stowed, the flexible blanket solar array or arrays are folded in an accordion manner to form a stowed pack or packs between the cross-member arms of the T-shaped yoke structure and the T-shaped end structure, also stowed in its own Z-fold arrangement. The cross-member arms of the T-shaped end structure can include a solar array that can provide power before deployment while the flexible blanket solar array is stowed.
