摘要: Embodiments of the invention provide a class of propylene/α-olefin block interpolymers. The propylene/α-olefin interpolymers are characterized by an average block index, ABI, which is greater than zero and up to about 1.0 and a molecular weight distribution, Mw/Mn, greater than about 1.3. Preferably, the block index is from about 0.2 to about 1. In addition or alternatively, the block propylene/α-olefin interpolymer is characterized by having at least one fraction obtained by Temperature Rising Elution Fractionation (‘TREF’), wherein the fraction has a block index greater than about 0.3 and up to about 1.0 and the propylene/α-olefin interpolymer has a molecular weight distribution, Mw/Mn, greater than about 1.4.

摘要: A composition of matter particularly well suited for use as a peelable seal layer is described. The composition comprises from about 50 to about 85 percent by weight of a first polymer and from 15 to 50 percent of a second polymer. The first polymer is a propylene based polymer characterized by having a melting point of at least 125° C. together with a Comonomer Composition Distribution Breadth (“CCDB”) less than 2. The second polymer is characterized by having an interfacial adhesion with the first polymer of less than 1 lb/inch.
