Abstract: A cleaning device scrapes off and removes toner that has adhered to a surface of a rotating photoreceptor, and includes: a cleaning member formed of an elastic body; a leaf spring member for pressing the cleaning member against the surface of the photoreceptor; and a support portion supporting the leaf spring member. The cleaning member is fixed to one end of the leaf spring member, and the other end of the leaf spring member is fixed to the support portion with a cushioning member formed of an elastic body interposed therebetween. The cushioning member is fixed to the other end of the leaf spring member by an adhesive.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus transfers a toner image formed on an image carrier having a moving surface onto a transfer object, and includes: a cleaning member that performs a removal operation on residues remaining on the image carrier after transfer of the toner image; and a brush member that has bristles including original yarns with uneven surfaces formed by microparticles adhering to and coating the original yarns, and comes into contact with the image carrier, on a downstream side relative to the cleaning member in a movement direction of the surface of the image carrier, to remove part of the residues that remains unremoved on the image carrier even after the removal operation performed by the cleaning member.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a switching operation unit switching a display mode of a setting screen between first and second display modes. A first display screen in a first display mode includes an icon display area displaying icons arranged in a predetermined direction and corresponding to function buttons for setting each function, and a first function button display area displaying some of the function buttons corresponding to some of the icons specified by a range specification unit. The function buttons are classified into groups according to their function attribute. A second display screen in the second display mode includes a group display instruction area provided with group specification buttons for receiving input of a group display instruction to display function buttons belonging to a specific group among the groups, and a second function button display area displaying the function buttons belonging to the specific group among the function buttons.
