    摘要： A system and method for selecting and registering applications associated with operation of a multifunction peripheral includes a processor, a network interface and a memory. A plurality of user selectable applications for operation of a multifunction peripheral controller is stored. Each customization group includes a plurality of electronic files, and each customization group corresponds to a unique business type. A plurality of device customization data sets, each data set corresponding to document processing in the multifunction peripheral are also stored. Indicia are displayed identifying customization groups by business type. At least one user selected application is identified. A customizations menu listing available customizations from the selected identified customization group is generated. A user selects one or more applications from the customizations menu. A determination is made as to whether each application associated with the user application selection input is registered. Each unregistered application is registered.

An acquiring unit acquires type information representing a type of a processing apparatus, and customization information representing how the processing apparatus is customized from a standard configuration of the type. A request unit requests the operation screen providing apparatus for standard operation screen information corresponding to the type information, when receiving an operation screen request from the processing apparatus. An operation screen providing unit customizes the standard operation screen information according to the customization information to generate individual operation screen information and provides the individual operation screen information to the processing apparatus.

The apparatus further includes a display unit configured to display a different screen depending on whether the user has logged in via the first login unit or the second login unit, when the occurrence of the error is detected by the detection unit.

    摘要： A multifunction apparatus transmits a menu screen obtaining request and a sort key to a distribution server located on a LAN. Upon receiving the menu screen obtaining request and the sort key from the multifunction apparatus, the distribution server sorts, according to the sort key, the order of menus displayed on the menu screen, and transmits sorted menu screen back to the multifunction apparatus. The multifunction apparatus displays the sorted menu screen, received from the distribution server, on an LCD. When a menu is selected from the displayed menu screen, the multifunction apparatus executes the menu.

    摘要： A system and method for customizing a multifunction peripheral user interface includes a multifunction peripheral with a document processing controller including a processor and memory. The memory stores identified electronic customization groups, each comprised of electronic files. The memory also stores device customization data sets, each data set corresponding to document processing in the multifunction peripheral. A print engine and a scan engine are operational by instructions issued from the controller. The processor generates indicia on a display identifying each of the customization groups and receives a user selection of one or more customization group. A customizations menu listing available customizations from the selections is displayed along with a document processing options menu including corresponding device customization data sets. Selectable user interface packages, where at least one of the interface packages includes a document processing options menu, are stored in the memory.
