The present invention relates to a composition, in particular a cosmetic composition, in the form of an emulsion comprising at least one polyester resulting from the esterification, with a polycarboxylic acid, of an aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid ester comprising at least two hydroxyl groups and at least one nonionic cellulose derivative comprising one or more hydrophobic substituents containing from 8 to 30 carbon atoms.The present invention also relates to a composition, in particular a cosmetic composition, in the form of an emulsion comprising at least one active agent chosen from C-glucoside derivatives, in particular C-beta-D-xylopyranoside-2-hydroxypropane, and cucurbic acid derivatives, such as the sodium salt of 3-hydroxy-2-pentylcyclopentyl)acetic acid, at least one pasty fatty substance and at least one nonionic cellulose derivative comprising one or more hydrophobic substituents containing from 8 to 30 carbon atoms.The present invention makes it possible to obtain emulsions containing pasty fatty substances that are stable, even without the use of an emulsifying surfactant or with a low content of emulsifying surfactant (for example less than 3%), and which afford good sensory pleasure, even when the composition comprises a high content of pasty fatty substances.The present invention also makes it possible to obtain emulsions containing active agents chosen from C-glucoside derivatives and cucurbic acid derivatives that are stable, even without the use of an emulsifying surfactant or with a low content of emulsifying surfactant (for example less than 3%), and which afford good sensory pleasure, even when the composition comprises a high content of these active agents. The composition according to the invention affords excellent sensory qualities, without a coarse or greasy or tacky effect and without a fluffing effect.Furthermore, it can reinforce the perception of efficacy by means of immediate effects felt as soon as the product is applied: nutritive, soothing, moisturizing effects.

The present invention relates to a composition for topical application comprising at least one fatty phase; at least one volatile hydrocarbon-based oil; and at least one lipophilic polymer comprising at least hydroxyethyl acrylate units and acrylate units bearing a lipophilic group, the weight ratio of the sum of all the hydroxyethyl acrylate units to the sum of all the acrylate units bearing a lipophilic group ranging from 1:30 to 1:1 and the lipophilic polymer having a number-average molecular weight Mn ranging from 2000 to 9000 g/mol. The composition in accordance with the invention has improved sensory properties, allowing faster and more complete absorption into the skin. In particular, the composition in accordance with the invention leaves a non-greasy and non-tacky feel on the skin, during and after application, even in the presence of solid fatty substances such as waxes.

The present invention relates to a composition for topical application, comprising at least one aqueous phase, at least one superabsorbent polymer and at least one lamellar or platelet-shaped matting mineral filler. A subject of the invention is also a cosmetic treatment process for keratin materials, which consists in applying to the keratin materials a composition as defined above, and also the use of this composition in the cosmetic or dermatological field, and in particular for caring for, protecting and/or making up bodily or facial skin, or for haircare. The composition according to the invention has both a matt appearance throughout all the steps of its use, from the appearance of the product up to the finished skin, and a comfortable sensation throughout its use, from the application to the total penetration of the product.

The subject of the present invention is a cosmetic composition of oil-in-water type comprising: (1) hydrophobic silica aerogel particles having a specific surface area per unit of mass (SM) ranging from 500 to 1500 m2/g and a size, expressed as volume-average diameter (D[0.5]), ranging from 1 to 1500 μm ; (2) at least one gemini surfactant of formula in which R1 and R3 denote, independently of one another, an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 25 carbon atoms; R2 denotes a spacer consisting of a linear or branched alkylene chain containing from 1 to 12 carbon atoms; X and Y denote, independently of one another, a —(C2H4O)a—(C3H6O)bZ group; n ranges from 1 to 10 ; and (3) at least one fatty phase comprising at least one fatty substance chosen from solid fatty substances and pasty fatty substances. The composition in accordance with the invention makes it possible to make good the lack of cutaneous lipids in dehydrated skin, and to provide comfort and persistent nutrition, while at the same time having sensory properties, for example a non-greasy and non-tacky effect and a matt skin appearance, and also good skin penetration properties, even with a high level of solid fatty substance.
