Abstract: An apparatus is provided that stabilizes an applicator in response to the motion caused by a user, comprising: a receiver configured to be coupled with a cosmetic applicator; at least one sensor configured to detect a movement caused by a user; circuitry configured to determine a compensation movement to offset the detected movement; and at least one motion generation device embedded in the receiver configured to control a motion of the cosmetic applicator according to the determined compensation movement.

Abstract: A system for applying an adhesive includes: a shaft including a length and a diameter configured to be exposed to the adhesive coating; and a plurality of bristles connected to the shaft and configured not to be exposed to the adhesive coating when the shaft is exposed to the adhesive, wherein the shaft is at least partially hollow and includes a channel and at least one flow hole; the channel extends along the length direction of the shaft and at least partially into the shaft; an opening of the channel is disposed at a first end of the shaft and configured to receive a solution; the at least one flow hole is disposed on the surface of the shaft substantially opposite of the plurality of bristles; and the at least one flow hole is connected to the channel and configured to allow egress of the solution received through the channel.

Abstract: In one aspect, the present disclosure provides a brush for applying a formulation, the brush having a core having an outer surface and a longitudinal axis, a plurality of bristle rings protruding from the core and spaced apart along the longitudinal axis, each bristle ring having at least 6 bristles spaced radially apart around the outer surface of the core, and a high density zone that covers at least a portion of the outer surface of the core, the high density zone having an equivalent 360 degree linear bristle density of 13 to 31 whole bristles per 0.5 mm of length along the outer surface of the core measured along the longitudinal axis, and a surface bristle density of 3 to 5 bristles per square millimeter of area of the outer surface of the core.
