Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a flat panel display embedding an optical imaging sensor such as a fingerprint image sensor. The present disclosure suggests a flat panel display embedding an image sensor comprising: a display panel including a display area and a non-display area; and a directional optical unit having a length and a width corresponding to the display panel and a thickness, and attached on a top surface of the display panel, wherein the directional optical unit provides a sensing light to the display area, and wherein the sensing light is collimated and directionized to a predetermined direction.

Abstract: A display device, a method of driving the same, and a driving circuit of the display device are discussed. The display device includes a display panel including a pixel array, in which touch sensors are embedded, a timing generator that determines a normal driving mode and a low-speed driving mode based on a mode control signal and generates a first touch sync signal in the low-speed driving mode, a display driver writing pixel data to the pixel array in response to the first touch sync signal only in the display periods of the data write frames in the low-speed driving mode, and a touch driver driving the touch sensors in response to the first touch sync signal in the touch periods of the data write frames and at least a portion of the data hold frame in the low-speed driving mode.

Abstract: A touch sensor integrated type display device is disclosed. The device includes gate lines and data lines crossing the gate lines. It also includes pixel electrodes disposed in regions defined by crossings of the gate lines and the data lines. Further, the device includes common electrodes overlapping the pixel electrodes. The common electrodes include a group of first electrodes arranged in a first direction, and second electrodes disposed between the first electrodes and extending in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction. The display device additionally includes first electrode connecting wires, each extending in the first direction and connected to a respective one of the first electrodes.
