    Abstract: A quantum rod luminescent display device includes a first substrate having a plurality of pixel regions; a plurality of first electrodes alternately arranged with a plurality of second electrodes in each of the plurality of pixel regions; a plurality of quantum rod compound layers over the first electrodes and the second electrodes, respectively in each of the plurality of pixel regions, each of the quantum rod compound layers including a quantum rod having a core, a shell surrounding the core, and an electron acceptor; a second substrate facing the first substrate; and a backlight unit at an outer surface of the first substrate.     Abstract: A quantum rod light-emitting display device according to an embodiment of the invention includes a display panel including a first substrate, a second substrate opposite to the first substrate, and a quantum rod layer formed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein a plurality of quantum rods are arranged in the quantum rod layer in one direction; and a polarizer disposed on the display panel and including a quarter wave plate (QWP) layer and a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) layer, wherein the PVA layer transmits only light linearly polarized in a first direction, and wherein the QWP layer is disposed under the PVA layer, and the QWP layer circularly polarizes the light linearly polarized in the first direction or linearly polarizes light reflected by the display panel in a second direction.
