Abstract: A griddle and a cooking appliance having a griddle is provided. The griddle may include a housing, a heating plate seated on a top of the housing, a burner provided inside the housing under the heating plate, and an exhaust vent forming a passage through which exhaust gas generated in the housing by the burner is discharged. The exhaust vent may be provided at a rear of the housing adjacent to a second end of the heating plate. The burner may be arranged such that a first end of the burner adjacent to a first end of the heating plate is positioned closer to the heating plate than a second end of the burner adjacent to the exhaust vent.
