Abstract: A reciprocating tool includes a motor, a driving mechanism, a body housing, a movable part, and a vibration control mechanism. The driving mechanism includes a reciprocating member configured to reciprocate in a first direction. The movable part is connected to the body housing via a first elastic member and a second elastic member to be relatively movable in the first direction. The vibration control mechanism includes at least one weight configured to move in a direction opposite to the reciprocating member. The center of gravity of the at least one weight is offset from the driving axis in a second direction. In the second direction, the first elastic member is closer to the center of gravity than the second elastic member. A load of the first elastic member when the movable part is placed in a closer position is smaller than a load of the second elastic member.

Abstract: A power tool includes a motor, a driving mechanism, a body housing, a handle, and a rear position defining member. The driving mechanism is driven by the motor and configured to drive a tool bit in a longitudinal direction. The body housing houses the motor and the driving mechanism. The handle is connected to the body housing so as to be allowed to move with respect to the body housing between a front position and a rear position in the longitudinal direction, while being biased by a biasing member in the longitudinal direction. The handle includes a handle base and a handle cover. The rear position defining member extends from the body housing to a position between the handle base and the handle cover in the longitudinal direction and is configured to define a rear position of the handle.

Abstract: A power tool and a dust collection attachment have their respective batteries as power supplies and can continue operating when one of the batteries is depleted. A dust collection system for a power tool includes a power tool including a switch, a tool-body DC motor, a tool-body controller, and a tool-body battery, and a dust collection attachment attachable to the power tool and including a suction portion, a dust collector, a fan, a dust-collector DC motor, a dust-collector controller, and a dust-collector battery. When the dust collection attachment is attached to the power tool, the tool-body controller and the dust-collector controller are electrically connected to each other. The dust-collector controller uses the tool-body battery singly to supply power to the tool-body DC motor and the dust-collector DC motor or uses the dust-collector battery singly to supply power to the tool-body DC motor and the dust-collector DC motor.

Abstract: It is an object of the invention to provide rational structure for vibration proofing in hammering operation. A driving motor 110 and a striking mechanism 140 are provided in a first body element 101a, and a handle 109 and a battery mounting part 160 are provided in a second body element 101b. The first and second body elements 101a, 101b are moved with respect to each other via a biasing member 181 when vibration is caused by driving of the striking mechanism 140. Further, a first region 100a close to the striking mechanism 140 forms a long-distance moving region 200 in which the first and second body elements 101a, 101b move a longer distance in a longitudinal direction than in the second region 100b less close to the striking mechanism 140.
