    Abstract: A fastener driver includes a nosepiece for receiving fasteners from a magazine, a driver blade movable from a ready position toward a driven position during which a fastener positioned in the nosepiece is driven into a workpiece, a lifting mechanism operable to return the driver blade from the driven position toward the ready position for a subsequent fastener driving operation, and a drivetrain to provide toque to the lifting mechanism. The drivetrain includes an electric motor having a motor output shaft, a first gear box coupled to the motor output shaft to receive torque therefrom, a second gear box having an output shaft coupled to the lifting mechanism to provide torque thereto, and a drive shaft having a first end coupled to the first gear box and a second end coupled to the second gear box for transferring torque from the first gear box to the second gear box.

    Abstract: A powered fastener driver includes a housing, a nosepiece having a fastener driver channel from which fasteners are discharged into a workpiece, a driver blade, a workpiece contact element, and a pusher mechanism. The powered fastener driver also includes a dry-fire lockout mechanism having a lockout lever movable between a bypass position and a blocking position. A first spring is configured to bias the lockout lever toward the blocking position. The powered fastener driver also includes a last fastener holding member configured to maintain the lockout lever in the bypass position against the bias of the first spring, and a second spring configured to bias the last fastener holding member toward the fastener driver channel. Each of the first spring and the second spring is configured to impart a force on the fastener within the fastener driver channel.

    Abstract: A powered fastener driver includes a housing, a nosepiece coupled to the housing and extending therefrom, a driver blade, a canister magazine coupled to the nosepiece, a pusher mechanism coupled to the nosepiece, and a cam. The pusher mechanism includes a body coupled to the nosepiece, a feeder arm pivotably coupled to the body, and a lever pivotably coupled to the nosepiece. The lever has a first end that is engageable with the body for imparting reciprocating translation to the body relative to the nosepiece in response to pivoting movement of the lever in opposite directions about the pivot axis. A cam is engaged with a second end of the lever for imparting pivoting movement to the lever. The feeder arm is engageable with individual fasteners in the nosepiece for sequentially pushing the fasteners into the driver channel in response to reciprocation of the body relative to the nosepiece.
