    Abstract: A cordless, hoseless fastener driver tool with a compressed gas pressure chamber has a removable end cap that is securely attached to the tool via four screws. Removing each screw in succession releases the compressed gas in a controlled manner, which then allows a user to safely remove the end cap to access the interior of the tool. The user can perform a maintenance procedure and service the interior mechanical portions of the tool, such as repairing or replacing a driver, a piston, and/or a piston stop, as well as the cylinder sleeve, or other internal components. Once the end cap is removed, the components listed above can be removed (and replaced) without the use of any further tools.

    Abstract: A fastener driver includes a magazine configured to receive fasteners, a nosepiece including a fastener driving channel from which consecutive fasteners from the magazine are driven, and a workpiece contact element movable relative to the nosepiece between an extended position and a retracted position. A portion of the workpiece contact element is slidably positioned within the fastener driving channel. The portion of the workpiece contact element having an aperture extending therethrough in which the fasteners pass from the magazine through the aperture into the fastener driving channel of the nosepiece to be fired. The portion of the workpiece contact element further includes a guide assembly positioned thereon.     Abstract: The present disclosure provides various embodiments of a fastener-driving tool that includes a battery-charged supercapacitor as a power source. The fastener-driving tool includes first and second spaced-apart, conductive rails and a partially conductive piston slidably mounted on the rails. The rails and the piston are electrically connected to one another. The supercapacitor is electrically connected to the first rail. When the supercapacitor discharges electrical current, the electrical current flows from the supercapacitor, into the first rail, through the piston into the second rail, and from the second rail. The electrical current induces magnetic fields in the rails and the piston, and the combination of the electrical current and the magnetic fields induce a Lorentz force that acts on the piston to move the piston toward a nosepiece to drive a fastener.
