摘要: A camera exposure data setting device for setting exposure data in digital form in response to [on or off] of switches. A first switch actuating member is manually operable for changing mainly an exposure time value and is located at or about the position where a shutter speed setting dial is located in conventional cameras, and a second switch actuating member is manually operable for changing mainly a diaphragm aperture value and is located at a position of the camera opposite from the position of the first switch member with respect to the vertical plane passing through the optical axis of an objective lens. The first switch; actuating member is operated for changing the exposure time value in an exposure time priority automatic exposure control mode and a manual exposure control mode and changing the diaphragm aperture value in a diaphragm aperture priority automatic exposure control mode, and the second switch; actuating member is operated for changing the exposure time value in the exposure time priority automatic exposure control mode and the diaphragm aperture value in the exposure time priority automatic exposure control mode and the manual exposure control mode.

The display units are arranged to display the exposure data with suitable marks or characters in rows so as to make the operator to read the display easily. The CPU provides control data to deenergize the display unit at the time of initial states of the camera such as at the time of loading a battery in the camera to prevent to display confusing information.

摘要: A data reading device for a camera can provide a data being accurate with high probability through repeated data reading of a code pattern on a film cartridge even in hard conditions, such as a condition where contact between contact terminals of the device and code regions of the code pattern is unstable and a condition where the resistance value of a conductive code region is comparatively high or varies with the area on which the corresponding contact terminal abuts. In one operation example of an embodiment, the device discriminates consistency and inconsistency between the contents of the successively read data bit by bit and substitutes the contents of the later read data discriminated as being inconsistent for those of the previously read data only when the inconsistency discriminated contents of the later read data indicate conduction of the corresponding code regions. The previously read data is thus renewed again and again so as to more accurately correspond to the data indicated by the code regions of the code pattern.

摘要: An exposure control device for flash photography having a first program mode wherein an exposure time is fixed at the flash synchronizable shutter speed and a diaphragm aperture value is changed at a high brightness region according to the brightness of an object to be photographed, and a second program mode or flash photography wherein the diaphragm aperture value and the exposure time within a flash synchronizable shutter speed are changed within a wide range of the brightness of the object to be photographed, and a combination of the diaphragm aperture value and the exposure time gives an exposure predetermined by taking the flash light emission into consideration. The exposure control unit is capable of carrying out the exposure control in the first or second program mode selected by a manually operated mode selecting unit.
