    摘要： An image-receiving sheet for use with an electrophotographic method, including a transparent support and an overcoat layer formed thereon is disclosed, in which the overcoat layer (i) includes a thermoplastic resin which has a fluidification initiation temperature lower than that of a toner for image formation to be employed or that of a resin for use in said toner, and (ii) is white and opaque from being in a porous state. Furthermore, an electrophotographic method using the above image-receiving sheet is also disclosed.

    摘要： An image fixing unit for use in a wet-type electrophotographic copying machine capable of forming a latent electrostatic image on a photoconductor element, developing said latent electrostatic image to a visible toner image and transferring said visible toner image to a transfer sheet, including (a) a first image-fixing section for heating directly an unfixed toner image formed on a transfer sheet by a developer which includes a toner and a carrier liquid, thereby fixing the toner image to the transfer sheet, the transfer sheet having a carrier liquid absorbing capacity A or B with respect to the carrier liquid, where A>B; (b) a second image-fixing heating section for minimizing the content of the carrier liquid in the developer by which the toner image is formed, thereby fixing the toner image to the transfer sheet by application of heat thereto; and (c) a switching device for selectively making operable at least one of the first image-fixing heating section or the second image-fixing heating section, depending upon the carrier liquid absorbing capacity of the transfer sheet.

    摘要： An electrophotographic recording apparatus having a photoconductive element, means for providing an electrostatic latent image on the photoconductive element which corresponds to image light, a developing device for developing the latent image to produce a visible image, means for transferring the visible image onto a paper, and means for cleaning the surface of the photoconductive element after the transfer of the visible image. Developers of different colors are selectively supplied to the single developing device to selectively record images in different colors. When a predetermined period of time has expired with no recording action taken after the completion of color recording, a developer collection system is communicated to a cleaning liquid vessel. This shortens the period of time necessary for the next change of recording color and recording operation while allowing a minimum of damage to result from a trouble in the developer collection system.

    摘要： A developing device for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an imaging surface includes a developing electrode disposed opposite to the imaging surface and a control circuit for controlling the potential of the developing electrode. In one form, when the control circuit causes the developing electrode to be electrically floating, the upper limit of the voltage excursion is set at different levels as desired. In another form, the control circuit includes a sensor for sensing the potential of the imaging surface thereby allowing to carry out so-called fixed bias or auto-bias developing modes. In a further form, the mode of developing operation is automatically set depending upon the position of a pressure plate which is to be placed on an original for keeping the original in position during copying process.
